  1. Bard the pitcher, not the Catcher.
  2. And how credible is SOSH?
  3. Also I'd like to add that I wasn't aware of Saito's elbow issue. I knew he had something but not that. This makes me weary alittle. But on the other hand, the team looked at his medical records so they must not be that bad right?
  4. I was merely trying to exaggerate my point. That being the Sox have spent a fraction of what the Yankees have, and can still be considered a contending team in the AL East. But I also get why there is moderate worry. The team has it's question marks, but really what team doesn't?:dunno: BTW are you going to ST this season? I enjoy you first hand scouting reports very much:thumbsup:
  5. The Yankees have spent 400M+ this offseason. the Sox have spent under 20M. TB even less then that. And the Division could go to any of the 3.
  6. Oh I do. And the mood he's been in lately, it should be very entertaining:lol:
  7. Nice signing. I also agree a trade could be brewing. MDC and Bowden for a Catcher?
  8. • http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2009/01/09/varitek_remains_an_option/?rss_id=Boston.com+--+Red+Sox+news Oh No!
  9. In all honesty it very well could be. I mean we are all looking at it from a baseball standpoint. He is looking at it like he just lost half of everything. Why give her half of the 10M, when he can wait and sign for 5M. Yes he ends up with the same amount if he had split the original 10M, but she wouldn't get anything. And if he is anything like a typical guy going through divorce, he doesn't want to give her another nickel. It's just a thought though.
  10. Well Buchholz will most likely be need in any deal. Buchholz/Carter/+2 would be a decent start.
  11. That's seriously a sweet piece of booty. Is that his wife or daughter? LOL
  12. Rosenthaul is an idiot sometimes, Fielder is the better player compared to Dunn. Younger, better fielder ect. Anyone like the idea of moving prospects for Fielder? I mentioned it earlier this offseason, but most didn't think the Brew Crew would trade him. If the Sox can get Salty for Bard or Bowden, they should pull the trigger.
  13. I honestly don't see another team out there. Maybe NYM. LAD was a possibility, but that was only if Martin went to 3B and he won't since Blake is back. Maybe he waits until ST and someone gets injured or something. Maybe he won't sign until his divorce is final. That way the ol ball and chain doesn't get any of his new deal:dunno:
  14. We see eye to eye my friend:lol:
  15. Ug, I hated Carl Everett. One of the most ignorant POS of all time. Waste of talent. Both have great physical skills, but brains of s***.
  16. Not really sure how good next season FA class is though.
  17. Me too. But who is going to sign Tek? I guess someone could get desperate in ST. Is there an experation date for the draft pick?
  18. Brave words coming from someone who's team just signed a pitcher for 83M. And the last time he was injured in 07, he was told it was in his head....
  19. I am on the side of let him go now. I'd much rather see a young Catcher brought in. But if that's not possible, then could bring back Tek for 1 year, I wouldn't cry about it.
  20. Brilliant last couple post's Ex. I'm sure Jacko will try an retaliate, but after that he really doesn't have much to stand on outside of Hope and Personal opinion LOL
  21. With the Baldelli signing, I told you guys Kotsay would have a good chance at resigning with the Sox. Although I did think he would sign closer to ST, or after one of the farm hands got a shot.
