Posey, Cassell, Garnett, and Perk carried the team last night. TO be fair the officiating sucked- particularly towards Pierce both in the calls against him and the no calls that should have gone our way. That being said, it was the worst star performance I've ever seen in person in pro sports, and the people behind us were ready to kill him.

Sean, you could say that that proves that the NL can't pitch, or you could use the same to make a case that the NL can't hit. I think the drop in ERA's shows the latter, even if you took out the pitcher batting. Look at some of the guys hitting 7th, 8th in the NL. Furthermore, look at some of the guys hitting 3rd and 4th. In my opinion, this is where you see the true disparity.

so it says on mlb.tv that you get every out of market mlb game. Does that mean you don't get sox games ever if you purchase this and are in an area "subject"???

I was the only one in my pool to pick Kansas and had 3 of the 4 final four teams, but I got schellacked so bad in the first two rounds that I still lost.

Thumper- did you watch the game? I did? Dice K Sucked in the 1st, was not good in the 2nd, was decent in the third, good in the 4th, and very good in the 5th. All in all I would say his performance wasn't disappointing. The only downside was that it was similar to his control problems from last year.

Sean I was thinking last night- I hadnt laid a bet down since the superbowl and I was LOVING the C's last night straight up. They match up very well agains the Rockets. The west isn't so scary. Utah and a healthy LA team are all that scares me over there. Cleveland as the 4 seed and then Detroit in the next round scares me more. Powe looked great, again, and their D was superb. I thought Cassell was thowing the game near halftime. He needs to play more down the stretch and get comfortable with the big things.... like dribbling and passing. Two minutes left and somebody in the backcourt THROWS Rondo? No Flagrant, No Intentional...WTF? No Matter. Kevin Garnett put them in their place. Even that cute chick in the stands rooting for the Rockets knew they got owned. T-Mac said if was the best defense he has ever played against. Not that its relevant but I think he is one of the most overrated players in the NBA.

That game i went to on Friday was the most frustrating sports event I've ever witnessed in person. The chick flat out sucks but the bald ref is on the take.

You want the Yankees to sign Barry Bonds. Just keep repeating that to yourself. Eventually one of the two above comments will have to change, since they are in direct conflict with each other.

Kilo- you are forgetting the dollar value of intangibles. Last I checked,the going rate on intangibles was about 1.5 Million per year. To be serious though, If Jeter isn't worth the 20M to that team he's damn close. Merchandising alone helps pay the bill.

I'm just glad that he brought his trade value up enough to fetch us more than the rosin bag he was worth in the first half of his time as a Red Sox....

Yeah, its not as good as Tiger's though. Can you imagine Tiger's electric fist pump on your team 500 times per year? I think there would be rolling blackouts.

He was non-tendered
