  1. Yep. Anyway Nash deserved MVP, and we need to let this conversation go. It really has little to do with the World Series, and it's not actually worth discussing anymore.
  2. Never did we draw any comparisons between them.
  3. Phoenix Suns 2003: 29 53 - 5th worst in the NBA (without Steve Nash) 2004: 62 20 - Best in the NBA (with Steve Nash) ... gimmie a break dude.
  4. Kordell Stewart. Infact they basically had the same hype when they showed what they could do in the NFL. "OMG HOW CAN WE POSSIBLY STOP HIM!!!" Well teams find a way to stop him, and force him to throw the ball. I understand that Vick is faster, and is a better athlete than Kordell, but to be brutally honest he throws an even worse pass. Vick's career will be ended by a leg injury.

  6. Please name one move that made me, or anyone else, say WOW. I'm not counting anything I said wow for when the words what a dumbass followed it ... like when he over paid Pavano. I will admit that the last time I really heard about George making the decisions was with the Sheffield/Vlad thing, but I'm willing to bet he makes his fair share of decisions. It's still sox even if it's singular.
  7. Agreed, but when is Vick most dangerous? On a broken play right? Well when it's the 4th quarter of the super bowl and it's 3rd and long if your a Falcons fan you're hoping for a broken play ... that just doesn't seem right. There is no doubt that Vick is a great athlete, but he is not a QB. Just like Kordell, he'd be a much better player and better asset to his team at another position. Vick may be exciting and may win you some regular season games, but how many Super Bowls have been won by a QB with Vick's style? Exactly.
  8. Now that it's mentioned I do remember Bird's statement, but I believe he said, for the game to be more popular it must have more whites. Not just a broad statement that the sport needs more white guys.
  9. Yes I agree that most white people have probably noticed the lack of whites in the NBA, BUT have you heard about it nationally? Have you heard Bill Walton all the sudden in the middle of annoncing a game stop and go "Wow theres not a single white guy on either of these teams." Infact have you ever heard anyone white man make a single serious comment about the lack of whites in the NBA? If so then I apologize, but I can't say that I can think of a single instance. Let me just make something clear. I'm in no way saying that there shouldn't be more black players in MLB. I'm simply saying that I'm sick and f***ing tired of hearing a different minority bitch every week about being treated unfairly.
  10. I heard 3 years 6 mill this morning.
  11. There's nothing to hate really. He can't throw a spiral, and he makes terrible reads. Also I believe there is no disputing that he is the next Kordell Stewart. I've been saying that since he got drafted and it seems more and more realistic every day. God those Falcons are gonna regret giving them that huge contract when he gets hurt every single year.
  12. I get mad about it because it seems like every week someone from a minority group makes a racist statement while trying to pin racism on someone else, and no one calls them out on it. Commenting the way he did made it sound like it's a shock that every team in the league isn't starting 9 black guys, or that it's wrong not to have a single black guy in your starting lineup. There are no rules legal or moral that say you have to have a player from every race on your team. I love how Joe says "I noticed, how could you not" because I didn't. I honestly had no idea. Maybe thats because I'm not a racist, and I'm not constantly counting the number of players in my race that are on the field. Selig saying that he has to work to change things makes ABSO f***ING LUTLY NO SENSE. What do you have to change? The point of the game is to put the best team together and win a championship, right? Not to make every race happy and make sure theres one person from each race on every team. Why the f*** are we counting the number of black players on each team? Baseball is perceived as an "inner city sport" are you smoking crack Joe? Isn't the league dominiated by latin players? I'm starting a study right now where I will count all the white players in the NBA ... then complain that my race is being treated unfairly ... anyone want to bet that no one will give a s*** cause I'm white?
  13. No dude for 3 consecutive years ESPN did nothing but feature Tom Brady. "Tom Brady is so clutch" "Brady always makes a comeback" "That Tom Brady sure is special" "I WANNA BLOW HIM!!!!!!!111111111111" Tom Brady has been the Derek Jeter of football, as far as ESPN is concerned, for the last 3 years. Wake up and accept the fact that the golden boy, Brady, is no longer the golden boy on ESPN. Grow up and accept that ESPN is done kissing your teams ass because you're not the best team in the league now.
  14. Wow why in the f*** does it matter what races are on the team!? If I were to look at an NBA team and say "Gee where are the white guys" people would say I was racist. But because a black man asks "Where are the black guys" it's all good and everyone just accepts it. I dont see why you need to have a player of every race on your team. You get the players you can get, and you put the best 9 guys on the field every day ... regardless of race JOE ... THATS THE f***ING POINT. We're not trying to look at race anymore, but every time we start to make strides some minority or minority group complains that there are not enough people from their race on a particular team, or part of a particular group. Guys if you want people around the country to look at a mans worth and not the color of his skin THEN SHUT THE f*** ABOUT ABOUT SKIN COLOR PLEASE.
  15. Ca$hman getting more money than Theo is just laughable. I know Steiny over pays for everything, but there is no way in hell that Ca$hman has been a better GM, or done more for his team, or will do more for his team, than Theo. The GM of the Yankees is basically just a figure head to go out an annonce what Steiny wants done with the team, so I don't see why he needs more than a mill a year.
  16. Weak arm, bad fielder, getting slower, getting older, shoulder problems, running his mouth to the media, being an idiot, and the fact that he wants a 5-6 year contract which he is not getting because of his age. If Damon is back it will be the biggest mistake of Theo's young career, so don't count on it.
  17. Until he wins a SB he is still the 2nd best QB in the league.
  18. I'm sorry but have you seen an ESPN broadcast in the last 3 years? They've done nothing but ride Patriot cock. Of course they're gonna pick the team with the best record to ride. Hell, everyone at ESPN was behind the Bengals until this past sunday. Peyton is a pussy because he doesn't run!? The guy is so good that he doesn't even have to move out of the pocket ... and thats a bad thing? If he hated to get hit I'm sure he would have quit playing football when he was a kid. Don't just make s*** up to try and make the guy sound bad ... unless you want me talking about Teddy and Tom's love affair. Just because ESPN has finally jumped off the Pats collective cock doesn't mean you have to throw a hissy fit.
  19. It's been a lot more than 2. Just about every year since Cowher got here we've been in the playoffs and we never get to the super bowl ... besides '95 which ended up being an even bigger choke.
  20. USC may be the most overrated team in the history of sports. They play 2 or 3 games a season where their opponent even has the slightest chance, and they just act like a big pile of douche bags. I really hope the Browns can start sucking a little harder so they can get Leinart so I can hate him that much more, and it'll be guaranteed that he'll never win again. So no matter who is #1 it's cool, as long as it's not USC.
  21. Has everyone forgotten that Hunter tore up his knee? I don't think you can really say how well he's going to be able to do anything after an injury like that. I don't think I take the risk on him especially considering you'd have to give up a lot.
  22. The Colts aren't even the biggest choke artists in football ... the Steelers are.
  23. Exactly and thats why I'm having this argument. I wouldn't care if he was getting even a little respect but saying he is only good because of a system is down right stupid. Saying that he doesn't throw enough is just a different kind of stupid. Nothing matters but W's, and over the last year and a half Ben has the msot in the league. I don't care if he doesn't throw a single pass all game. He manages the game better than any QB on our roster(see: Tommy Turnover week 6). He is THE QB for this offense. He does absolutly everything we need our QB to do, and thats why he is considered a top tier QB in the eyes of SMART fans. Tom Brady does everything the Pats need him to do, and a lot more ... thats why he's the best QB. As far as a product of the system. So is every player in the league, because every team has a system. Some players find the right system and flurish, some end up being busts.
  24. You still sound pretty bitter man. Anaheim not being able to take pitches has something to do with why they threw 4 complete games, but the pitching still has to be good. You make it sound like the only reason they threw even 1 complete game was because the Angels are free swingers. The fact that the White Sox have brought in some guys who haven't done much elsewhere and made them a great pitching staff is a positive ... not a negative. How can you bash a team for having good enough coaches to get the full potential out of pitchers? "Hey don't come talking to me about developing talent ... that means nothing." Sorry Mr. Steinbrenner ... we'll amke sure we only acquire fully developed talent ... otherwise we can't brag about it. So quickly people forget ... 86 years ... 86 years ... lets not act like we've been winning 1 a decade. Is it just me or does Sox fan in Tex appear to be on the rag lately?
