  1. Yeah but how many times has he contridicted himself. This has nothing to do with what he knows about sports and everything to do with his credibility as a person. He could have never seen a baseball game before and he'd still be more credible than you because he hasn't contradicted himself on this board the way you have. It's really time to wake up and realize One Red Seats post ruined you forever on this board, and your comments will never be taken seriously again. Just give up admit you're wrong and try to save a little face.
  2. My Steelers have ... and handly I might add.
  3. He's not saying that. I think what he's trying to say is that theres reason to be optimistic about Schilling. He had a very serious injury and he is still trying to rehab back from it. There's a good chance that once he's 100% he'll be Curt again. RJ has pretty much sucked all year without explaination, so what is there that would lead you to believe he would suddenly snap out of it?
  4. Yeah well I've been pulling for Wade, because when he's healthy I think he's one of the top pitchers in the game, but if he's not going to be healthy we need to get someone who will be. I don't really see a need to go out and sign any FA pitchers to take his place because as long as Wells comes back I think the staff will be full, especially with the growth of some of our young pitchers. I don't think we need to become the Yankees and start signing big names just for the sake of doing it. I'd much rather let Papelbon start next year than go out and sign Burnett.
  5. I don't think I'd consider him homegrown simply because he was already grown when he arrived. I think most players out of college are already grown(especially pitchers).
  6. Hansen 1IP 2K 0ER last night. Fast ball 95-97, Slider 88/89
  7. Why do you guys even waste your time replying to dumbass threads like this. You're only feeding the beast.
  8. I apologize. MLB.com wouldn't load for me, so I had to resort to ESPN, and apparently they hadn't updated, and because it was so early in the morning I didn't even look at the dates I was typing. Still though I'm not that worried. Considering over the 4 previous starts, before the two you mentioned, Hammer allowed 8ER over 26.2 Innings
  9. 3ER over 6.2IP is a horrible outting? I wouldn't say it's a good outting but it's far from horrible. I'll give you the last start he made as being horrible but the one before that was definatly not, and look at the 3 before them.
  10. ... no he's not. One bad start does not make a free fall. Last 5 starts: 8/24 7IP 3ER ND 8/29 5IP 1ER W 9/3 8IP 2ER W 9/8 6.2IP 3ER L 9/13 6.0 6ER L So lets not go acting like he's been horrible.
  11. I don't know why you'd think that. The entire sports world is based on "what have you done for me lately" Keith you chose to be a professional athlete. Talking to the media and hearing negative reactions from fans are all part of those millions of dollars you are earning to play a game. Suck it up and stop being a pussy. Why is it that athletes never seem to have any problem with the media until they're in a slump?
  12. A free fall is when you go from the highest point, and begin falling back to earth. The ChiSox are a perfect example of what a free fall is. Going from a 4 game to a 1.5 game lead is hardly a free fall. Playing .500 ball is hardly a free fall.
  13. Time out. Free fall? ... How the f*** are we on a free fall? Have you people not seen our lead change between 1 and 5 games several times now, and we retained first place for all but 24 hours. CALM DOWN ... please. This month we're 8-8, and I'd say as a hole we haven't been very good at all. If we can stay .500 while slumping then the second we break out of it we win the division.
  14. What a great way to win a game.
  15. Yeah don't worry terrible managing (letting a left handed 9 hitter bat against a lefty) will assure the Yankees keep the lead.
  16. Wow could these annoncers talk a little more about the Yankees? NEWSFLASH: There's a game going on. No one watching it gives a f*** what Rivera's stats are.
  17. I know that each team has their own camera crew, but I do believe many of the on field camera's are shared.
  18. isn't grady seizmore a rookie? If so I'd say he has the award won.
  19. The booths are right next to each other and yes the share cameras.
  20. I tried to tell you guys about Lawton.
  21. Well complaining about calls is basis for ejection. So it's justified.
  22. You have no idea what was said. How can you make false assumptions about the umps ego?
  23. Wow these annoncers and everyone complaining about this ejection are ridiculous. You have no idea what Randy said to the ump. Technically I believe they are allowed to toss you for any profanity, so all he had to do was say f***, and the ejection was justified. So until we know why he was ejected I don't think it's fair for you guys, and these annoncers, to get on the umpire.
  24. Welcome. I'd just like to mention I love the two avatars above me. Making the two gayest players in MLB look even gayer.
