  1. Before the ChiSox won I didn't see a single White Sox hat in the entire city. Now, today alone, I've seen 2 or 3. I hate the American sports fan ... no loyalty, and constantly jumping on the bandwagon of whoever is trendy.
  2. Bob Ryan was just on the Dan Patrick show and said that Theo was still at the Red Sox offices and plans to help with the transition. Dan asked if there was still a possibilty that Theo could agree to stay, and Bob said it wasn't likely but there is still a slim chance.
  3. I think we all need to remember that we are part of RED SOX Nation ... Not THEO Nation. Sounds like some of you are ready for a revolt. And to those of you picking a fight with the yankee fans ... chill out. They're not purposly trying to be ******* this time. Them simply posting anything in this topic would have got them s*** on. I think everyone needs to have a full nights sleep ... then get up in the morning and kill a kitten. It'll be OK.
  4. I don't even know what to say. I'm completely stunned. Just yesturday I thought Theo would sign this deal and be with the Red Sox for life. I ... I don't even know what to say. This sucks beyond belief. Even if the Steelers win 150-0 tonight it wont make up for any of this.
  5. HAHA ... quality.
  6. Timlin was the bullpen last year. Hopefully he'll be able to settle back into his set-up role, and will continue kicking ass. Good signing.
  7. That ran through my head. Maybe it has a little something to do with the fact that he can't be the best hitter on his team if Papi is in the lineup. Maybe it's because some of his fan love is now being shared between himself and Papi. Who knows what Manny's thinking. I just wish he would enjoy being here and accept the fact that every fan in RSN wants him to go down as one of the best players to ever put on a Red Sox uniform ... and they never want him to leave.
  8. And maybe not let those same "nebby" Bostonians have pictures of his sons bedroom. Manny has said one thing and done another for quite some time now. I don't care what this guy does or says. I don't care if he wants a trade. I don't care if he sets fire to fenway(as long as it's put out before damage is done). I want this guy in my lineup as long as he's hitting 40+ and 140+. I understand that one day we will have to cope with the fact that there will no longer be Manny, but I want that to be on the day he retires. I don't think Manny really knows what he wants.
  9. Any team in the league would pitch around Ortiz to face Konerko. I understand he's not a push over but given the choice theres no way anyone would pitch to Ortiz instead of Konerko.
  10. Well he compared him to 2 mistakes made by the Yankees.
  11. We also wouldn't have a HOFer hitting behind Papi.
  12. Dallas Chicago Cleveland Cincinnati Jacksonville Carolina Oakland Washington San Deigo Miami Denver Tampa Bay Buffalo Monday Nighter Pittsburgh Went with some strange picks this week.
  13. Doesn't surprise me that a Yankee fan is saying that If anyone thinks the Braves are giving up Jones you must be crazy. He's the best defensive OFer in baseball, and he finally got all his s*** together on offense this year. I mean come on the guys not even 30 yet.
  14. How much crack do you think the Marlins GM would have to smoke to make that trade? I wouldn't trade a used nut sack for Wright.
  15. When I read this on a credible site I'll believe it.
  16. The guy got screwed. The Marlins intentionally screwed him out of money. I think that RSN would have torn the front office a new one if they did that to one of our players. He did nothing wrong. All he did was get pissed off that he was getting cheated out of money. Foulke wasn't being cheated out of money.
  17. Why is everyone so worried about getting a lefty? You don't have to have even 1 lefty starter to be a successful team. I think we need to worry more about getting the best pitcher we can and not so much about trying to get a lefty.
  18. His comments last year should have no barring on how we look at the guy because he was completely screwed. He neeeded to make one more start for his incentives to kick in and thats why the marlins skipped him on his last start. His gripe with them was legit and I think anyone in his position would have acted the same way. That being said I want no parts of this guy. I think that with the right pitching coach his career could end up being great but I really don't want the sox to take that risk ... especially with his price tag.
  19. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b142/roartiger/whitesoxkillkittens.jpg
  20. Yeah they'll definatly have a chance as long as they have that pitching but Konerko is the driving force in that lineup
  21. Well righties do better in Fenway. I mean if your looking at it as getting the best pitcher then I guess you could make a case for Santana over Halladay, but Halladay is the best pitcher for fenway.
  22. Well I'm not even sure they'll make the playoffs next year if they don't resign Konerko. Congrats ChiSox.
  23. Actually they all have been saying that Peyton can't be regarded as the best in the league until he wins a championship. I haven't heard a single person on ESPN say that Peyton is better than Brady. Over the past few years Brady has been god in the eyes of ESPN ... not Peyton. It's Brady getting his ass kissed way to much ... not Peyton.
  24. I believe he means based on his stats, and after looking at them, besides 2000 hits he has nothing on Mo Vaughn.
  25. I stand corrected ... but I disagree
