  1. You're kidding right? It's the friggin DRays.
  2. Please read the thread before posting. We heard that lame arguement 25 pages ago.
  3. First of all if your a cop you shouldn't be scared no matter how many people are around. Part of your job is controlling crowds. There are weapons for crowd control. Such as stun guns. I don't understand how you can justify him pulling his gun without authorization. This guy should be thrown in jail just like anyone of us would be. Just because he's a pig he gets to walk.
  4. Dude he looks like he did his rookie year and he couldn't hit water if he fell off a boat. Come on now. http://akamai.edeal.com/images/catalog1723/folder4501/img660287med.jpg http://media.canada.com/cp/baseball/20050404/m040426a.jpg
  5. ... and you're not going to change ours, so why not give up?
  6. MOST VALUABLE PLAYER Definition of valuable: useful: of great importance or use or service. Which player is more valuable to their team? Remeber it's not who's the best hitter, or the best all around player ... it's who has the most VALUE to his team. The Red Sox sit in first place right now with Papi in the lineup. The Yankee currently sit in 2nd and are out of the playoffs. If Ortiz was taken off the Red Sox, Manny Ramirez would be Barry Bonds, and we would more than likely not be in the playoff hunt. If you took Arod off the Yankees they would still be 2nd, possibly 3rd in the division, and really in no worse shape than they are now, out of the playoffs. If you look at it that way it's obvious that Ortiz is more valuable. Not only does Arod have more money around him, but he also has Shitfield, Matsucki, and Steroids, who all hit for power, and could pick up the slack and still leave the team with a very potent offense. Ortiz is the heart and soul of this offense, IMO, and losing him would be devastating.
  7. Wouldn't it be looooooooooooooooooooooooooong ... do you guys really drag out the g? Anyway, ya Kapler will be missed. Hopefully he'll have a full recovery, and be able to help out next year.
  8. Well he's yet to blatenly contradict himself in a post like you have. So I'd say he has quite a bit. Stop trying to defend your credibility dude cause you lost all of it when One Red Seat posted your quotes. Just drop it, walk away, and hope, eventually, we forget.
  9. Well I know somewhere is a very reliable source.
  10. I may have torn him to shreds but One Red Seat lit those shreds on fire.
  11. I'd just like to find out what 26-6 was saying about Giambi in the first 2 months of this season. I seriously doubt you were this behind the guy. I seriously doubt you would have defended him no matter what the subject, but now he's hitting HRs and doing good and the fairweather Yankee fans have jumped right back on his bandwagon. So lame. Fairweather Fans EXAMPLE: Jason Giambi is publicly outted as a steroid user. He sucks ... he gets boo'd ... not for using steroids ... for sucking. Shitfield publicly outs himself as a steroid user. He produces ... you cheer. Jason Giambi returns to his old form ... you cheer ... it's clear that he's back on steroids and/or HGH ... but you turn a blind eye becasue, hey he's helping the club now.
  12. I think he just ment that he was happy it was him that came off the bench.
  13. Dude if Lucchino wants to speculate that Jeter takes it up the ass, he can. You can speculate about whatever you want, whoever you are. I'm tired of the people on this board telling me me what I, and everyone else, is allowed to think. If you don't want to hear about it then don't listen/read. Think about things if the roles were reversed. You're telling me you wouldn't be speculating if a Red Sox player had taken steroids, completely fell off the map, then all the suddenly became the player he was when he was using steroids ... looking like he did when he was using them? I call ******** if you say you wouldn't. So shut up and stop bitching ... we're not the ones with two former steroid users on our team. If you wanna blame someone for this blame George for getting him in the first place.
  14. I mentioned this this morning in another thread. Mike and Mike were talking about that and his profuse sweating suddely returning when he came out of his slump.
  15. Here's what I don't get. The award is Most Valuable Player right? But it appears that it's going to be won by Arod just because he plays the field. That doesn't make any sense. Is Arod the Most Valuable Yankee because of his glove work at 3rd ... I think not. Everyone wants to make it out like Arod is such a spectacular 3B, when in reality, he's average at best. We've all seen him misplay some very routine ground balls, and even muff a few throws. So please let's not act like this guy is gold glove material just because of the uniform he's wearing. If MVPapi can stay ahead of Arod in HRs and still loses this award ... I don't even know what I'll do.
  16. I'm not going to rip you apart but there are just a few questions that need to be asked. First how do you know Youk is a better fielding 3B when you've barely ever seen him play there? Second, how can you say that just becasue Billy hits singles it's not clutch. Clutch doesn't always mean a gap shot or a HR. Clutch has nothing to do with how far you hit the ball, and everything to do with getting a hit when your team needs it most, trailing, or in a tight game, late in the game.
  17. Well there's really no need to put Millar in the OF, because unless I'm mistake Johnny will be back in the lineup tonight so our OF is healthy. As far as the slummps go ... I'm only mildly concerned. There is a bright side to these guys slumping, and it's that atleast they're not doing it in the playoffs. Look this offense is way too good to just suddenly fall off the map, so I think we just need to give it a few more games and we'll turn it around.
  18. On Mike and Mike in the Morning, on ESPN radio, this morning Mike and Mike were discussing the same thing we are. They both agreed that Giambi was convicted for using steroids in the court of public opinion this year. They also both agreed that they see the old crazed look in Giambi's eye, and mentioned that his habit of profusely sweating had returned. Neither took a side really, but the fact that it's being discussed again is fine by me. See Yankee fans. We're not the only ones talking about it.
  19. Coming into a game your team is trailing by (was it 4 runs at the time?) is hardly a high pressure or impossible situation.
  20. Please do me a favor and never quote Stephen A to prove one of your points again. He's a TV character, not an analyst.
  21. No Sitfield didn't just "rub a cream on his knee" he used steroids. I'm tired of people trying to just brush off what Bonds and Sitfield were doing as just rubbing on cream, because like I said before it was proven to be a steroid, which is why the Balco trial started. If it was just a cream then there would have never been a Balco trial. So please stop trying to just pass it off as rubbing on a cream because that makes me more irrate than antyhing else.
  22. Dude the media and the fans ignoring steroid use the first time was what let it spread around the league. Now, we're not going to be fooled again. I really could careless if this topic is giving you a headache or not, because this "headache" won you the ALCS, and countless other games that you did not deserve to win. Along with all the help Shitfield gave you. So if you want to drop it, then feel free and stop posting in this thread. But as far as me turning my head once again ... it's not going to happen.
  23. Did I commit a murder before this one? Because if not it's not a valid analogy.
  24. No the Cardinals did not have the best team. How many times must we go over this. Our pitching staff was far superior, and our offense was better, not to mention we had a lights out closer at the time. What else decides how good a team is?
