  1. is it just me, timlin is now the only relief pitcher left, **knock on wood** who doesnt make me cringe when i hear that hes warming up
  2. im just hopin theo gets a lil "stenibrenner" in him and starts assigning people like they did to inconsistent reliever pitchers stanton and quantrill. start off with really vazquez, embree, mantei ((4 walks in same inning are you kidding me)) foulke if hes able to control his velocity and attitude that is. but still on side note, props to dave mcCarty joining the NESN team, one of my fav red sox backups last season
  3. been lots of talk about it, trust me the nesn pre-game reports that run for an hour before the game starts never to fail to entertain. i myself wouldnt mind a hanley/edgar duo at 2nd and shortstop. I think at first best to god get rid of vazquez. and put hanley there thru 2006 season as backup to 2nd/shortstop. Bellhorn might be finding his groove after teammates and coaches spending time with him during batting practice, including walks and hits he has now reached base safley in the past 10 straight games
  4. and really i think dustin will be in pawtucket for next season. they just quickly moved him up from AA, and it might bite them to quickly move him up to the majors. He needs time to adjust to AAA. If anybody Im betting anything it will be Hanley Ramirez next non-pitcher to moved up. I just think Ramon Vazquez is one of severals Sox members need to be given the pink slip, batting average is now .197 ??? myabe Hanley can come up later in the year and take over backup position of 2nd/shortstop
  5. since renterria signed a $40 million contract, he is goin nowhere. iadmire the fact that he said if and when hanley comes up soon. he wouldnt mind at all learning himself 2nd base.
  6. a-rod now this is why i dont like yankee nation, we always get the arrogant s.o.b.'s gloating--see now when red sox have won their games, ill be celebrating with my friends at home or bars, yea and ill admit when yankees lose we may laugh and joke about it--but how sad is it to go on the main forum website on your rival team and repost the same f***in blog in each section about how the sox lost one game??? besides guess whos comin back like a hurrican to run down your boys like he did striking out the side in game 6
  7. Yeah I'm trying to put down the Red Sox and their entire fan base, as I am saying I'm glad the Sox lost and the Yankees didn't lose ground. It's in a bad tone, but nothing insulting to anyone. Not saying anything about people's families, and did not threaten anyone. :what: yes they did lose ground, in 4th place now. how does it feel that only team yankees are better than, are the d-rays?? who by the way took 3 out of 4 two times against the yanks
  8. yea even tho we did suffer a loss tonight, yanks loss again with randy johnson bein beaten up by the tigers 10 - 2, putting the yankees in 4th place between the d-rays and blue jays. what you guys need to do is get the right pitching staff, got the offense to get tons of RBIs in, just think its natural reaction when players see this big deficit that lessens confidence they have and just take it easy to get out of the stadium fast.
  9. just thought id update the averages Alan Embree... 7.83 ERA, oddly enough only reliever this evening that had best outing having 1-2-3 inning striking out 2 Wade Miller... 5.14 ERA Ramon Vazquez... .197 batting average Matt Mantei... 6.49 ERA, 4 walks this game in same inning?? 5 runs scored off him Keith Foulke... 6.03 ERA ((add in)) John Halamma... 5.75 ERA
  10. i just dont know what to say, our bullpen just about every player is now flawed--even though timlin has a nice ERA of 1.60, would be much higher if they counted the number of inherited runners hes let score--Tito time to clean the house
  11. think ill watch a movie now, score 11 - 1
  12. ok dude its something, but everyones acting we are in the midst of a 10 game losing streak. tito just needs to stop trusting his startin pitchers who have been out there longer then they shoudl and need to maybe do a full cleaning of their bullpen
  13. hey theres always tomorrows game with david wells.. who last time against toronto, notably gave up 3 homeruns back-to-back-to-back.. and yea hmm :dunno: , some good news for you all yankees lost to detroit 10 - 2, and so far baltimore is losing to cleveland--we get to keep 2 1/2 game lead if thats a consolation
  14. oh my dear god, you gotta be kiddin me--2nd grand slam thats been given up by a red sox reliever this week in fenway park, who else thinks they shouldve taken out clement when he just walked a batter to load the bases and already at 113 pitches. god tornonto is our thorn this year
  15. 3rd inning the jays got to clement making him throw 30 pitches, and they got 5 hits and 4 runs scored--sox gotta get it goin, they now have left 7 men on base
  16. mannys been pulling up his bat while swinging, jeez
  17. thats my boy clement, strike out the side
  18. it has to be an injury we dont know about, or plain and simple he might not care each time he goes up to the mound. Like how come his ERA in non save games is 1.50?? and in save situations his ERA is ten times higher at 11.00--kinda makes you think, huh
  19. :stop: :what: :what: foulke said on the radio today he did not come to boston to be the closer!! he came to Boston to be a starting pitcher or catcher!!---um, foulke where is all this comin from?
  20. joes gotten the message, so yeaaaa ok i think by now this joke is pretty much all used up and dead by now...
  21. mirabelli by far has the best batting stats against Lilly going 5 for 13, that is why I dont doubt its a very good idea to put him in instead of ortiz who is just career 2 for 19 against Lilly. Ortiz can still come in later as a pinch hitter ya know
  22. wow, very surprising. but hey im very optimistic, last season mirabelli averaged a homerun every 18 at bats for him, hes not one to easily get out at the plate
  23. no doubt it will be tough for any opposing team later in july when the first two games we will have schilling and clement up on the mound
  24. lets see how his next start goes on the night of 4th of july, opening the series in texas against the rangers
  25. i know very true, but its that first inning that hurts him each time and so far thru the season hes averaging 5 1/2 innings a game, putting pressure on the bullpen
