  1. updated lineup, mueller and nixon are out of the game for today Damon Renterria Ortiz Manny Millar Varitek Payton Youkilis Bellhorn
  2. it does matter in the AL East rankings with them being the #2, 3 teams--hey yesterdays game was looking like a sure win
  3. no pedro had left boston because the sox were only at the most having a 3 year deal for him because of his age--the mets on the other hand offered him more money on a 4 year deal with a club option for a 5th season... And why would I say we are better off without pedro?? god you act like you know how sox fans think, I for one of many miss the hell out of him
  4. mueller is one of the great clutch hitters we got at the bottom of the lineup, he rarely has strikeouts, so far just up to 30 halfway thru the season, average is about to creep up to .300, makes me perplexed to have both him and youkilis at same position and want to see both of them out on the field at the same time
  5. go orioles----yankees are due for a big breakout, man i thought.. "this was it" ..back in may when the yankees just broke fire with a 10 game win streak--to our luck, that winning has ceased for time being--No doubt ol steinbrenner is threatening firings and trades, that might get the yanks to dust off the cobwebs and start racing for the top spot from us
  6. you do realize bellhorn in #2 spot last season, thats where he had hit 15 of his 17 homeruns, most producticve in that postion,
  7. yea i just turned 22. im lovin each of the games im able to see this year so far. in past id every now and then watch a game of theirs. but very ironically. last march i decided right there and then to watch every sox game including the spring training games that started off before the 2004 season, man what a ride and what a season to start watching their games faithfully--been that way now with goin to fenway, my 2nd home almost, sundays game againt tornoto will be my 12th since april ah how sweet it is
  8. lineup hoping to see since trot is out for today 1. Damon bats left 2. Bellhorn (Francona not budging bellhorn from 9 position for some reason, saying renterria is good at the #2 position as well, why not put renterria in #5, following manny and ortiz) switch batter 3. Ortiz bats right 4. Manny bats left 5. Renterria bats right 6. Varitek switch batter 7. Millar bats right 8. Payton bats right 9. Mueller switch batter
  9. cliff lee will be tough tonite, he held sox to 2 runs until he left then their bullpen crumbled giving up 3 runs for sox to win 5-4
  10. im just going by what I had read on nesn articles as well as other artciles on sports sites and newspapers. really tho, all indicating there will be a new second baseman for 2006
  11. an article on NESN is talking moreso about Hanley Ramirez's visit to the clubhouse, interview with Edagr saying hed really like to see Hanley come up next year and have a Ramirez/Renterria duo at second and shortstop
  12. god bellhorn cant be good every game, ya know
  13. so schilling is a cancer to the sox cuz hes letting the media know his status on day to day basis? which everybody in the majors is eager to know. him wanting to come back and help his team still shows the strong willed pitcher i saw on game 6, basically forcing game 7 of the series. im thinkin thank god so far for sox not getting pavano, what a difference compared to last season, most hits allowed by any pitcher this season at 120, and already has matched last season's counts of homeruns at 16. Sox must be in his head cuz 2 times we have got to him bad, this season's 17 - 1 blowout--then he was with florida marlins, sox came into town and got a 25 - 8 win. You are just pissed in october he came back from being injured and quieted up your boys
  14. it wasnt bronsons fault at all if not for the failed double play, they wouldnt have scored 3 runs that inning, bronson had to throw 35 pitches in the 4th inning which of course would rough any pitcher up--infielders always have to back up their pitchers on routine plays
  15. the red sox will look to rebound from the second shutout of their season in the past 2 weeks. wade miller takes the mound, and true he has been shaky but each game that he starts, has become more consistent and lasts longer into the game little by little. Left handed pitcher Cliff Lee is on for the Guardians, but jeez Terry is still not taking in the fact Trots rising ability to hit better against leftys than in the past. So Jay Payton will be starting in right field position today
  16. how about that lunar eclipse up above in clear view happening when the red sox recorded the final out of game 4, gettin chills there
  17. hanley ramirez visiting the clubhouse last nites game got me goosebumps, hottest prospect there is in pawtucket. Contracts up at the end of this year are Embree (thank god), Millar, Mueller, Timlin, Bronson, Bellhorn, as well as Damon (((god as its getting close to december hearing big possibility of yankees signing him cuz they will need a center fielder next season))) please no johnny it will be roger clemens all over again, to see him in pinstripes and sitting in the yankee dugout sittin between arod and jeter makes me want to vomit seriously. Im holding out hope though
  18. very true, schilling will be making his rehab start tomorrow , as he comes within the next 2 weeks, question is who will be sent to the minors. I say keep halamma in the pen and send embree to the minors for him to work on his mechanics or something
  19. i think theyre exhausted from the hard work they did to have a perfect road trip tied in with traveling. Trot made a rare missed catch, it wouldve been a RBI double if his glove had not touched it, felt bad seeing him kneel down with hands over his face
  20. halamma i think a did great job of that he he held them to no more runs when he came on--i was at the, gulp, memorial day game where bronson allowed 7 runs including the grand slam thru the 3rd inning. Halamma came on for the next 4 innings and allowed only 2 hits, no runs--For some reason Bronson doesnt do well in fenway this season, five of his six wins have been out on the road
  21. what i noticed in philly, mark was keeping his eye on the ball the whole time--in fenway he was looking away as he swung, even looking away during the double play possibility
  22. jeez I bet ya anything that one of the yankee fans here are gonna gloat about the shutout the Guardians just handed us. Wade Miller is on for tonite, which more or less not giving a cushion to fall back on. Wade is a great pitcher no doubt but so far has yet to perform what he did last season before he got injured and had to have surgery. Basically by the 6th inning hes nearing the 100 pitch count mark. Be hoping he gets run support for tonight. What does everybody else think Wade's future as a red sox player, last December had signed a one-year contract
  23. fans arent used to bellhorn playing good consistently
  24. something about bellhorn is that he will occasionally have these big hit days, but guess what happens the next series of games, he strikes out and makes errors, sure he gets walks but dont ammount to much most of the time
  25. guess misunderstood red sox's main website saying in january red sox signed him and bronson to one year deals, probably a club option for 2006
