  1. oh jeez, i was watching NESN's website that has a video interview with varitek, tek being the great guy he is (sticking up for his pitchers) said he talkes half of the blame for last nites loss. sorry tek but not no one had you on their minds when the game was tied than with just one out, foulke hit alfonso to load the bases
  2. um dude you yanks had the 6 - 0 lead and then blew it to baltimore as they scored 8 unearned runs. only then did the yanks in the 8th inning rally to get the win. so really im still not scared, not by a longshot
  3. LMAO, 3 cheers for the return of GAY-ROD to post sonethin about todays games
  4. coolness schilling, so same time tomorrow but this time no foulke in the game as relief pitcher
  5. hey lay off of foulke. i know who really lost the game for the sox was, damn you johnny from burger king, hes everywhere for foulke
  6. if not this game, im not sure what it will take for theo to get agressive. Mantei got his ankle "sprained", and could be out for rest of season. basically savin himself from being cut, 6.49 ERA Mother-Foulken Keith Foulke... 6.23 ERA (4 blown saves, 2nd one this week!!??) 5 - 5 record Alan Embree... 7.97 ERA
  7. jeremi gonzalez, john halamma, alan embree, and wade miller in his last 4 innings held texas to a score that boston could have come away with a win--timlin had cut sox's lead to 1, then ya know the rest
  8. 4th blown save so far, thank you foulke we couldve gained some ground on baltimore with them losin today
  9. s*** happens???!! this is what weve seen from foulke for the 2005 season
  10. foulke fuuccckkkk youuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. im gonna miss tonites game unfortunately , at least have my cell phone that updates on scores and plays. i am tho missing it for the right reason as I still get a dose of sox playing cuz Im gonna be seeitin in McCoy Stadium tonight watching Schilling bring his stuff in the game, which of course will determine when he'll be back on the majors mound
  12. ok dirtdog who would you rather think is an allstar playing defense at 3rd base, arod or mueller--its def mueller---for offense its arod
  13. youkilis struck out his last 18 ABs?? i beg to differ his last 18 at bats dating back to june 6 have been... 5 strikeouts, 4 hits (including 2 doubles and homerun), 3 runs scored, 2 RBIS, and his average is still just below the .300 mark bellhorn's last 18 ABs dating back to the Guardians 6/28 game... 9 strikeouts, 4 hits (including 1 double and homerun), 3 RBIs, and 2 walks, with his average now at .230 stats are from yahoo sports
  14. mueller is a guy who takes pride in what position he plays, a la third base. mueller's days in boston could unfortuanetly be over, hopefully at least see him as a backup to youkilis next spring.
  15. wow i got goosebumps i had pretty much called this one. when i first joined this site i noted bret boone's days with seattle are numbered and maybe sox should look into getting him as an upgrade. Before yesterdays game against Texas, seattle had cut bret boone from the team and put him on a 10-day waiver. was listening to WEEI, and talks are that Theo has been making calls at possibly inquiring the future Hall of Famer. even if bret becomes a backup to 2nd/ss, id like that deal, true he is struggling
  16. k so far theo has done one of things on my wish list, which was to at least demote vazquez to the minors. now theo would you please get done with embree!!! his ERA in 37 appearances is 8.05, and gave up 2 runs in the 9th inning yesterday to make a red sox rally harder to come by
  17. arod is man to have for offense. but for defense?? god no, already he has made 10 errors this season
  18. right the lead is down to 5. upcoming for tomorrows game is tanyon sturtze, haha
  19. jeez kinda pointless callin him up, all he did in 2 games was warm up in the bullpen once. but god yay for vazquez being demoted, he needs to work out everything baseball
  20. The Yankees have been terrible? God you people are stupid. Everything is an attack on the Red Sox. And I wasn't big on Pavano. yep havent been terrible, dude a $200 million roster should perform well above .500 by the halfway season mark. commentator on espn coined the phrase " the pin head stripes"
  21. and i am off for today , taking out the best girl for a day at fenway. thats one hell of a first date to have with somebody, huh? i might have center field seats, but hey any seat is good when you are in fenway. hold down the faithful hopeless yank fans when im gone, haha
  22. ah no way soxie, thats awesome stick it to them
  23. hmm, very interesting Pavano out Sunday with sore shoulder The Yankees' starting rotation took another hit on Saturday, when Joe Torre announced that Carl Pavano will miss his start on Sunday due to shoulder soreness. Pavano could make his next scheduled start right before the All-Star break, but that remains up in the air. As of Saturday, the Yankees weren't considering placing the right-hander on the disabled list. Taking Pavano's place on Sunday will be Chien-Ming Wang, who was scheduled to go on Monday with an extra day of rest. Tanyon Sturtze will take the mound on Monday at home against the Orioles, and the Yanks will bring Randy Johnson back on short rest for Tuesday's game. Pavano has been an enigma this season, going 4-6 with a 4.77 ERA in 17 starts. He has allowed 17 home runs in 100 innings, one more than he gave up in 222 1/3 innings last season.
  24. wish you the best of luck matt, and get better. i was kinda getting confused with don and remy saying abe was only up here for last night. we do need him up here now with mantei's season looking like its done with, so pretty much need that extra arm.
  25. with bellhorns double off the monster, now has extended streak of reaching base safely to 11 straight games. also does extended hitting streak to 6 games
