  1. we will have to see about that, mantei is on the 15 day DL with a sprained ankle
  2. wells ejected from the game is questionable itself, 2nd base umpire goin on a power trip
  3. tito the club needs trot in tonight, 2 plays jay has messed up in right field. trying to slide for a catch that lead to a triple RBI. then charging for a ball hit towards him and instead of throwing it to home, threw it to 1st. arghhh
  4. yea you know rent was not gonna give the ball to belli again
  5. (you've gotta give me something, they've been terrible riiight, 45 - 33 1st place in AL East yanks are 39 - 39, tampa bay grabbing hold of them by the nuts 4th place in AL East
  6. um yea and arod, i couldve sworn carl pavano was a top notch for a cy young award
  7. wait hold the phone on boston globe's website its saying wells is reoccuring effects of the injury he suffered back in april and tonights starting job could go to a starting pawtucket pitcher. :dunno:
  8. wait hold the phone on boston globe's wedbsite its saying wells is reoccuring effects of the injury he suffered back in april and tonights starting job could go to pawtucket pitcher Jeremi Gonzalez
  9. well would you rather seeing him relieve, or see mantei give up 4 walks in the same inning--as far as i know, lets go Abe, lets go
  10. cool i like abe alvarez, probably will do better than matt mantei
  11. huh i was reading up on the orioles shutout of the Guardians, today will be the first of several games that the Orioles are benching sammy sosa since he cant right now play defense for s*** or even hit.
  12. tonites pitcher is left-handed pitcher Gustavo Chacin which sox players have just faced once career wise... sooo ugh tito, yes everyone knows that in the past trot has done bad against leftys but enough is enough. Try him out for this one game at least cuz he is so far battin .300 this season off of them
  13. im not blaming it all on clement, not at all---tito kept clement in one batter too long, clement got the bases load and was already up to 115 pitches and terry thought matt was the one to end the inning. next batter he faces got a base hit and scored in a run to make it 5 - 1, the game fell into the sox's bullpen and they just crumbled at toronto's feet giving up 10 more runs. even though it says clement is charged for 8 runs. he left with the bases loaded and reliable mike myers just gave up the grand slam
  14. thats very intriguing to think about it. be a very cool gameplan of theos, if it were the truth. im not that at all downed by seein payton play, he had a great month in june as backup to trot batting .333. sox needs are bullpen to be cleaned out, keeping just original sox players myers and timlin, a new backup to second/shortstop--and im not sure what to think about wade miller so far, only 2 games this season he has been able to last 7 innings, by the 6th he will already be around the 100 pitch mark.
  15. im still not scared:
  16. Bill Mueller is still my favorite player on the sox, and even tho some say hes slowing down, still out there as a clutch hitter and his defensive plays just about always make it into espn baseball top plays of the week. I think 2005 will be his last year as 3B starter for the red sox. Maybe 2006 they could still have him on board but transition him to backup third baseman with youkilis getting the nod. I just have this big feeling that of course mueller loves his job with the red sox organization, maybe stick by 3rd base even longer and someday take over dale svelum's job
  17. was roger 41 at the the first season you got him?? no he was in his mid 30s as I remember correctly, randy is showing his age
  18. isnt there some yankee forum website you can go to?? i dont know anybody here that goes to rival sites and boasts about their team, just being an arrigant sob. its even more funny boasting about his team who is right now a laughing stock of the MLB cuz of their poor playing this season
  19. wow thats so lame youll just rip at anything about the sox huh, since our boys still stand 6 games ahead of you
  20.  :wetodd: were you even watching the playoffs last year when he came back from being injured, more or less gave the yankees their pacifier. nice deal getting randy johnson i see , got him thru 2006 haha
  21. he started shoving the guy right when he came out of the dugout, and camera wasnt on him until he started picking on the camera man
  22. well johnny damon having a homerun did give him a RBI
  23. Bellhorn needs to get his stuff together. Man, hes sucking right now. actually thru 10 straight games, bellhorn thru walks and hits has gotten to base safely
  24. very true, guess start callin up from the farm then to salvage the bullpen
  25. But Wagner also said he wanted to stay in Philadelphia, even though he could be on the trading block should the Phillies fall out of contention. "I'm here until either they release me or trade me," he said. "I love this team and I like playing for Philadelphia." Theo tell me you saw this article please. at least get rid of one of the bullpen woes a la embree or mantei
