    Javier Lopez to pitch? Cmon give the kid Breslow the innings, he is the supposed favorite to be the lefty pitcher out of the pen in 2007. oh well fingers crossed that Lopez gets them out of the inning

    Bryan Corey, through today, has actually been an under the radar good reliever for Boston (1.84 ERA in 9 games, 11 Ks, in 14.2 innings)

    Thanks to Lowell & Hinske for f***ing up the threat Yankees pitching gave up 4 consecutive walks with 1 out, duhhhh Im gonnnnna swing at every pitch (exception to Lowell who non-chalantly held up on a pitch that was right down the center)

    As it stands right now, Hinske is in line to be the 4th OF (he is signed thru next year) Its no sure thing Crisp will still be on the team, odds are against him to even be with the Sox in spring training

    The injuries/inconsistent efforts by pitching staff wouldve been greatly affected by the addition of outfielder Abreu?

    Ok lets say, the Sox did pick up Abreu The Sox would still be in place to miss the playoffs, behind a tattered pitching staff. The Sox would then become desperate to trade Abreu in the offseason. Thus them eating a good share of the taxes, would result in less spending money you want the Sox to use

    Im also using my sources from Boston writers IMO thats a weak excuse since everyone knew coming into this season, it was the last for Trot as a starter at least with the Sox. Also at the time of the deadline, he was ranked as one of the worst hitters in the month of July that included just 1 extra base hit

    How about for getting the facts straight for once dumbass. The Sox were eeked at the sight of owing $27 million in taxes from taking on Abreu's contract. That money can be better used on building a better pitching staff this offseason.

    Gee, if Ortiz's ball doesnt take a high bounce, Murphy wouldve scored easily. But yea all that says about Ortiz, according to most Yankee fans/media/baseball writers: he is only a great hitter when Manny hits behind him (Hrs when Manny is not in the game, are gimmes by the umps), and he's nothing but a DH

    maybe it was just the tone Im also referring to the likes of riccian blast, mr. crunchy (same person most likely), a700 hitter, and some fellow red sox fans Ive talked to while at Fenway Park. Its all about patience, some red sox fans need to absolve some of that when it comes to rookies
