  1. Sorry man it's not even close D Lee almsot hit for the triple crown for christ sakes plus he has a great glove D-Lee > Manny, Zambrano > Clement, it's no where near fair. D-Lee .335 average > Mannys .292 D-Lee 46 homers > Mannys 45 (not to mention NL pitching is far better than AL pitching). RBI D-Lee 107 Combine that with the fact that D-Lee has gold glove caliber defense lopsided trade If I've heard one.
  2. The ONLY plus we get out of trding Manny is getting rid of that bulky contract. We're not trading him if we have to open up our wallets to do so.
  3. I agree this is great trade no doubt about it, but my problem is he's never pitched 200 innings before, and the fans won't lik eit very much if he hits the DL twice due to blisters. I'm worried about how much he has in his arm but we shall see.
  4. Oh no doubt when healty Beckett is a #1 starter. And personally I believe that most of his "injuries" were just the Marlins being total hypochondriacs trying to make sure he is always 100% healthy because they knew he was the future before all this stadium s*** came up.
  5. Honestly I don't think we could get anything good for Arroyo. Might as well keep him as a long reliever in the pen.
  6. If he stays the 5ht starter si up in the air. Personally I would put Papelbon back in the pen unless he comes up with another ptich but as of right now it's unknown.
  7. Jesus when did this happen?
  8. That bum is probabaly out of baseball anyways so who cares, let him rot.
  9. It's on the bottom ticker on ESPN and ESPNEWS. It's definitly legit. This is absoloutly huge. Schilling J-Beck Wells* Clement Wake/ Pap's/ Arroyo That's a killer rotation no matter how you slcie it. And I'm assuming they move Lowell to first wich is easily and upgrade over Millar even with Lowells bad year last year.
  10. BOras isn't expectin 7 yr at 82 million. He's jsut saying that so he drives down the price ot make it look liek a discount. It's all negotiation strategy.
  11. My entire mom's side of the family is Met's fans and they are all furious an Omar for doing this trade.
  12. This is a great day in abseball, the players association is slowly losing thier chokehold on everything, and the players will actually have to stop using roids (or some roids / performance enhansers anyways). As far as the punishment goes this is a perfect punishment system. You screw up you get a slap on the wrist but get given a second chane, do it again? Fine. Much bigger punishment but you getanother chance. Three strikes? You're out, lifetime first time is wayyy too harsh.
  13. Yeah but not good cathers, but I agree with trading him, it's definitly unfair to keep him in the minors untill V-Tek's contract goes, way too long for the guy to rot down there.
  14. Anybody have Nady's stats?
  15. Honestly owners need to just shut the hell up and pay the Bills. This is 100% Luchino's fault. This doesn't hurt us in getting big name players. Red SOx / Yankees are always the front runners for that. It's those subtle guys on other teams who turn into great guys for the Sox that Theo specialized in. Bill Mueller, David Ortiz it's guys like that Theo specialized in.
  16. I've said this once I've said this a million times trading Manny would be unbelieveably idioc for anyone ofther than like Barry Bonds.
  17. Isn't Chicago the Cub's land?
  18. Ok if anyone watched Burnett in th second half of the season they would know he's probabaly the best F.A on he market. Millwood is in his 30's and has had one good season, I hate one hit wonders. Ideally I would like the rotation to look like this 1.Schilling 2.Burnett 3.Wells 4.Wakefield 5. Papelbon (Sorry guys Papelbons still a 5 untill he pitches a full year in the bigs.) Is this going to happen? Probabaly not too many variable come into play (the signability of Burnett, Wells' potential retirement, Schillings health, injury etc.) But ideally that's what you would want the rotation to look like.
  19. Ok I dont know where you step off saying s*** like that. You don't know me or anything about me and you sure as hell don't know s*** about me losing a loved you don't know jack s*** about me. I went to my Grandpa's wake, my very very close Grandpa's wake and then 2 hours later stepped on the football field for a game. My skills didn't diminsh, I didn't suddenly not know how to tackle, or not know how to throw a block. It was the same crap. When you're participating in an athletic event you focus on nothing but the game. Sure it got to me before and after the game but betwene the lines for 48 minutes the only thing on my mind was football. Using a death is a bullcrap excuse for diminished performance at any time.
  20. Way to quote half of my post jackass. If you continue to read the post I said I'm sorry about what happened but it's still a bull s*** excuse for poor performance. I hate when people take stuff out of context.
  21. He can'r run the bases if he can't get on the bases.
  22. Big f***ing deal. Bret Favre's dad dies and he went out and threw for like 400 yards that next day. ROger Clemens Mom just died did he implode? Sports make you forget things when youre in the act of doing sometihng athletic you forget things. You focus on the task at hand such as hitting a baseball. Don't get me wrong here I feel for the guy for losing his Uncle but that can't be used as an excuse for poor performance. I highly doubt that he was thinking about all the wonderful memories he had with his uncle as he was digging into the battters box. He didn't perform 'nuff said case closed.
  23. You left out a huge stat Hernandez IP- 84.1 Kazmir IP-186.0 I wonder what would happen to Felix if he had to pitch 303 more outs. All I'm saying is he's still yet to prove himself as a big league pitcher.
  24. I would, the guy can't hit.
  25. I'm actually pulling for St. Louis to win. They deserve it after two great seasons that they have had.
