  1. LoDuca he hit .283, compared to Ramon Castros (the Mets starter last year) .244, plus he has a slick glove and a prtty solid arm, not like All-Star cliber, but it's definitly a cheaper upgrade. I say good pickup.
  2. I don't know about you, but the Guardians seriously scare me, they have a lot of GOOD young talen, and will be competitive for quite a few years to come.
  3. One flaw in your logic, writers actually have "sources" that are in the loop in organizations. Nice try though.
  4. We're not going with a 6 man rotation, that would jdut be stupid. I fnaything Arroyo goes to the pen as a long reliever for when someone is hurt / getting killed.
  5. SO long as we get as close to equal vale back as possible, and trade to him an NL I'm totally fine with trading Manny. I like the idea of Soriano though.
  6. Interesting. I'm curious to know how much of George's income actually goes toward the Yankees and how much he keeps for himself. I do know the Yankees don't have to pay morgatge becaue George owns the property (something no other MLB team has).
  7. They'll make things interesting, I jsut don't think they can compete all the way down the stretch with thier terrible (outside of Vernon Wells) offense.
  8. The Angels don't really have anybody worth taking , and I don't wanna do Glaus + prospects for Manny. Not to mention Manny should not be traded to an AL team.
  9. God Damn it. What are they gonna do just DH Thome?
  10. Where did all this money come from all of the sudden. Didn't they not make an attempt at keeping Delgado because they were tight on money.
  11. They could use another #2 or #3 starter. Glavine isn't getting any younger and Zambrano isn't unreliable at best and I'm not sold on Benson at all.
  12. Can Glaus play first? He'd be a great edition here, out IF would be so stackedwith gloves. Not big on the whole .258 Ba though.
  13. I wouldn't wan't Gordon being the closer. Who knows how much that guy has left in his arm? I say go with Foulke unless he bombs it like last year. As far as Farnsworth goes if there is any truth to it than it is huge because it make our bull pen, which was BY FAR our greatest weakness last year very good.
  14. I can't agree with that because he's too random. You never know what your going to get with a straight knuckleballer, you could get the untouchable guy and you could get the BP guy you never know.
  15. Only? He's no kid anymore. But I agree he should get to start.
  16. There is no way in hell Trot Nixion plays CF next year.
  17. The Jay's actually weren't that bad untill Halladay got hurt last year. I'm not saying they're gonna make a run at the east or anything but they will be a pesky little team.
  18. You don't want Pierre, his carrer OBP is terrible, it's like .315 or something. I was kind of hoping the Yankees would get him. EDIT: Career OBP is .355 that's pretty bad for a lead off man.
  19. Isn''t Pierre a free agent?
  20. The cubs need offense.
  21. I understand your logic here but there's one HUGE flaw in it. I say I worry about NL pitchers switching to AL all he time but my arguemant here was that I'm not worried about it because he's already proved that he can pitch against Al teamsby shuttingout the booming offense '03 Yankees on 3 days rest. This guy can pitch to anyone.
  22. Thome had a rough year but it's not like he can't come back. But this is definitly a clear sign that Konerko won't be in a whie sox uni next year.
  23. I am sicking of hearing Yankee fans saying "ohhh he's swithcing to the AL so he won't be that good." The guy seemed to handle the Yankees booming offense in '03 just fine when he pitched on 3 days rest in Yankee stadium. Let's jsut say I'm not worried about it.
  24. The Met's would be stupid to give up Wright for anyone. I like the Zito, Swisher idea but there is no way the A's would take on Manny's contract with thier show strig budget. I don't like the Mariner's one because I'm big on guardado. I personally think we should trade him to an NL team for our own benifit. I would trade him to the Mariners if we could get Felix Hernandez in return but that's never going to happen.
  25. I believe that weather or not he can do it as consistantly as Manny is up for debate. Clearly last year was his break out year after he changed up his stance now all there is to see is wether or not it was a fluke or it was his break out year and he will be consistant thsi way for the bulk of the rest of his career. It's up in the air but if D-=Lee can keep it up he's the better player.
