  1. It's a rule, it was a very obscure rule that no noe knew existed before that game (it is now called at least once a game at both NCAA and NFL levels). It is a s***** rule but it's a rule, they won fair and square, who are you Al Davis?
  2. Ohio State v. Texas tonight gonna be a sick game.
  3. Why in the HELL did Chacon keep pitching it inside? Manny was 4 feet off the plate.
  4. I'm a huge fan of guys who get clutch hits, so he's definitly high on my list, he is also a gold glove caliber defensive player and should definitly get consideration for a GG this year. As far as him being bak at third next year I doubt it, management appers to be leaning towards letting Youk take over next year.
  5. I tihnk I may be the only person on the planet who has not seen Episode III yet.
  6. Wow, I never would have guessed in a million years.
  7. Actually you can use this thing called Google Earth and measure distance, from Home plate to where A-Rod hit that ball I got 517 feet, with around a 2-3 foot margin of error.
  8. I can't believe I missed the chance to bash this guy. God dammit, I leave for 3 days and I miss a banning, what the hell?
  9. Jose Consuckass was supposed to be good too. I don't trust Cuban defects untill they perform at the big league level.
  10. Who the hell cares, why do Red Sox players always try to stir the pot right beore the biggest series of the season? I swear between Pedro, Damon and Manny, more s*** has been started before Yankees series in the past few years than I can count.
  11. Embree is an idiot, if he faces Ortiz Torre should be fired.
  12. I HATED Walker, bring back Pokey! I loved Pokey, plus that would be an ill middle infield. Renteria and Pokey.
  13. Ohhhhh that's very nice, I'm assuminng Ray want's it but if he doesn't take it I have dibs.
  14. Yeah they'll get plenty of love in the pre gmae and stuff liek that, but from kickoff to the end of the game they would get absoloutly no love at all. They want to play thier games somewhere in LA but the financial condition of the state will probably prevent that from happening.
  15. That's the only arguement I need, trading Manny would be a huge mistake. Red Sox fans have been unbelieveably spoiled watching Manny Ramirez hit the baseball. We are watching the greatest right handed hitter of our generation. The things he does for the line up, are just amazing. Trading Manny would be stupid. You say that like it's so easy.
  16. He wasn't "spurning" anyone by signing with the Sox, the sox gave him th ebest deal, he signed, easy as that.
  17. Renteris does a great job as a #2 hitter. He gets to balls that most guys won't and didn't Tejada lead the league in errors two years ago? Would sigining him be a mistake?
  18. Playoff time I most worry about the Oakland Athletics, they have pithing that can shut a team down in a 5 game series. We may have a winning record against them, but we played them when they were really crappy early on in the season.
  19. Foulke didn't look terrible, definitly not closer form, but not terrible.
  20. You just said that and if the Yankees don't make the playoffs A-Rod probabaly won't get it, nd then wen't on to say "Why not Tejada" who's on a team that's 15.5 games out.
  21. Empire, you just took the words out of my mouth. Stop looking through rose colored glasses A-Rod has a better chance than Ortiz.
  22. WOw she jsut got slammed in a matter of about 4 minutes. God damn you people who type fast.
  23. Because there's no real statistic to judge being clutch (other than RISP), one sportswriter points to the Ortiz walkoff against BJ Ryan, another sports writer points to A-Rods homer off Schilling, in the end the arguement over being "clutch" doesn't have much wiegh-in. As for "I tihnk where your team finishes definitly has something to do with it also", A-Rod won the MVP on the last place Texas Rangers in 2003, so I don't think it matters much.
  24. I agree 100%. I was saying that all winter. Of course we decide to keep Millar because of his "bat".
