  1. I liked "Oh Manny Seeing Manny".
  2. MLB- Red Sox NFL- Pats NBA- Celtics NHL- Bruins NCAA- UCONN (#2 in the nation bitch)
  3. I really don't want to spin that kid to someone, he's supposed to be a stud.
  4. Canoe only won because Yankee fans actually vote for stuf liek that. Oakland fans if you could even call them that tune out the say those guys are eliminated from the playoffs.
  5. In the fourth and fifth years of those deals he will be like Berine Williams. Center fielders decline faster than anyone. I would offer him four for 45 - 50. Beats the Sox offer and keeps him for one of his probabaly crappy years.
  6. Didn't the guy hit like .400 in AA or AAA? I tihnk there's definitly potential for a good bat in there. I wouldn't mind this deal if we don't sign Damon.
  7. Beltrans salary is as high as Manny's I don't want him. I have not seen any offers that give equal value. I vote we keep him.
  8. You're right normally that is the case. But a player of Reggie Bush's caliber only comes along once in a great while, this guy is Gale Sayers / Jim Brown / Walter Payton good. He would make almsot any Quarterback better because teams would have to cover the run so much.
  9. Ohhhhhh that's a nice one.
  10. If you believe that you're gonna be shocked once the season is in full swing. That rotation is damn good, if they get a bat to protect Vernon Wells I would pick them to win the East.
  11. I agree with He Hate Me, Giambi is grossly overpaid. Personally I'd go out and try and get a front of the rotation pitcher because there is know way Randy Johnson makes it through the entire season at 42 on a knee with no cartilage. After that I would get a solid not nessacerily an All Star middle relief guy just to back up Mo and Farnsworth, as we saw last year The Yankees ususally needed 1 more guy to get to Gordon because thier starters didn't usually go 7. I can't count how many games the Yankees lost in the 5th and 6th innings last year. After that I would tinker try to fill up holes they have such as a CENTER FIELDER. The last thing I would do is get a role player. Not a great All Star player but a guy who does his job and most inportantly, plays a good role in the clun house. I'm not an insider but it appeared to me between the Seffield quotes about who's the team captain , and Randy not letting Posada catch him, it seemed like the Yanks didn't have good chemistry. What they need is a guy who is friends with everyone and keeps everyone happy, similar to a David Ortiz, who is just a good guy to have in the clubhouse. They need a role player without one between hot head such as Sheffield, RJ, Farnsworth combined with someone like A-Rod saying something stupid, the Yankees could be the first team ever to have a bench clearing brawl with themselves.
  12. Eh he probably should be banned but no matter what he says he can not be worse then ClEmEnT RuLeZ kid. I swear to god I never hated another poster as much as I hated him.
  13. I really hope we didn't trade away a perennial All star in Hanley.
  14. There was plenty of reason to talk about the Red OS xand Yankees. They are the peple to go through to get the AL East Crown. Dodging the Red Sox and Yankees in an interview would just be stupid. I don't see why everybody makes a big deal out of this, he jsut stated the obvious.
  15. I totally agree with you Loretta is a good player who suffered through injuries last year. Why don't we try and shift Pedroia to Short for the 2007 season, sign a 1 year deal to a half descent SS and see what we get. That way we can keep Loretta and put Pedroia into the mix.
  16. And now losin Martin Bush looks even better, it doesn't matter the Texans will end up getting Bush.
  17. I vote the Mets record, but I don't know it depends on wether or not they keep the D-Train.
  18. Pitching wins ball games They are looking at Hallady, nuff said, Burnett nuff aid, Chacin who had the bast ERA+ of any pither in the AL East last year, Josh Towers who had the second best ERA+ of any pitcher in the AL East last year and Ted Lilly who we know is a good pitcher, and great for a 5 starter. Just ask the Oakland A's you can win with just pitching, I tihnk the Jays have the best rotation in baseball.
  19. Oh that's totally not true. Let's use the now infamous Terell Owens as an example. Would you take him on your team, with all the not talking to the quarterback, not taling to head coach, renogtaintion of the contract. It's not just what the player does on the field that matters.
  20. I'm sorry but there's no way. He's not going to sign with a North Eastern team and get away from his family againg. He signs with the Astros, the Rangers or no one. Even the Rangers may be a stretch.
  21. The kids gonna be a an outstanding pro. I don't care ho undersized he is, just run him around the tackles every play.
  22. Does Manny really want to rot in Baltimore, if he vetos it with his 10-5 I say we just keep him. What the hell is the Union going to do? Say we didn't try to trade him hard enough? EDIT: If Tejada wants out and has a Veto why would he EVER want to go to the Cubs?
  23. I don't tihnk he's trying to be a jackass, he's just stating the truth. The bluejays have gotten good and definitly have a shot at the division. Wether Sox and Yanks fans want to believe it or not.
  24. Was that directed at me or 26 to 6?
  25. Yeah but Theo was one of Beane's minions. I thought he was going to be good as soon as I heard that.
