    That's a dumb statement and completely irrelavent. Clemens is a drama queen, but he's also one of the best pitchers of all time, and he probably won't sign with any team outside of Texas.

    It's the rumor that won't die untill we sign a GM. I don' think Theo is the one who came up with all these rades but I do agree with the whoever said these trades reek of Theo. These guys are supposed to be really tight with him, maybe they call him and ask him for his advice.

    When you get a chance to get a guy like Tejada who's not that old yet you virtually have to give up at least 2 of your top prospects. I would give up Lester because we have a lot of young pitching but I don't think I would give up Pedroia.

    Ok still if you're top 10 it's USUALLY (please not that I said usually so I don't egt slammed for that) means that your on the fast track for a pretty good career, I hope we don't spin him to another team.

    This is good for the Yankees but not huge, they had a pretty good bullpen last year. They got Farnsworth too but lost Gordon so that's pretty much a wash, the Yankees really havn't done that much this off seaosn which surprises me, I heard they re-signed Bernie though, WHY would they do that?

    Don't get me wrong I don't want to trade Clement but I don't think the O's would do it with out getting a pitcher from us. I'm just trying to be as realistic as possible.

    I don't know aout Wilkerosn "mashing" HR's he hit 11, that's not mashing it even at RFK. Soriano almsot hit 40-40 his first year in the bigs, he sure as hell isn't garbage he hit 36 homers w/ 104 RBI. He had an off season as far as average goes but it happens to the best of them, his previous averages were .280 .290 and .300, he is most certainly not garbage.

    The problem with signing Damon ifor 4 years is he'll probabaly only be good for the first 2, maybe 3 years of that deal. After that he'll hit a sharp decline that almost all CF's hit. Remember Bernie Williams last year? It's kinda the same deal. So the question is, is he worth it?

    Manny + Clement for Tejada. The O's would proably spin Manny to someone else for a fornt of the roatation pitcher. O's get rid of unhappy SS we get rid of unhappy LF and get insanely good SS. O's get front end pitching that they desperatly need. Everybody wins.

    He'll probabaly be in the Hall, he hit the hell out of the ball when he was with Toronto. I don't know if he'll make it though.

    I like Marte he has loads of potentential and I understand the "cut your losses" while picking up a big time prospect idea of the trade. What I don't like is that we now have a huge hole at SS. I would love to see Tejada but if we can't get him I'd like to see Pokey back in a Sox uniform, he was over rated by a lot of Sox fans but we have enough offense right now and our left side of the infield would be impossible to hit through.

    Graff is not an every day SS we need to find someone who can go out there and play every day (hint hint Tejada hint hint).

    I liked him, he had the occasional HR once in awhile, it's his time to go though.

    He's not going to come to the Sox, but that doesn't mean he "hates them and has always hated them" he just had beef with the frontoffice, I don't think if it were offered he would immediatly dismiss it.

    He was a great ballplayer with us no doubt, but I'm pretty happy happy with Lowell.

    Actually they've both stated on numerous ocasions that they are very good freinds, it's nearly common knowledge; and if I do recall right one of Ortiz's better quotes was, "We called Miguel back home the autobus (pronounce owtoo buss) you get on base and he will pick you up." I am ALL for this trade, it's not going to make Baltimore anymore dangerous because they need pitching. Manny wants out. Sure he'll hit less Hr's but he would hit better for average, just as many RBI's, have a great glove at SS, he plays 162 games a year every year. Let's put it this way the guy was the league MVP two or three years ago, how many MVP's has Manny won? I would give up Manny + Clement for Tejada.

    They need pitching, untill they pick up a decent pitcher I'm not even remotly worried about the O's.

    I love how Nomar says "You do what you can do when you're on a team." But when we needed him to play in the 13 inning epic agaisnt the Yankees at the stadium his Achilles was bothering him. I would like to see him back in a Sox uni, but I just don't see it happening.

    Where would he play second? Please why owuld you take a walking injury over Canoe who has sooo much potential.
