  1. Varitek and Nixion have always been the real leaders. Millar and Damon were just media whores.
  2. Eh K's are more relavent than ERA. I mean people will get a lot of hits therefore a few extra runs off you in ST because youre not concerned with winning the game you want to tinker with your pitching and see what works and what doesn't. A high number of strike outs shows that his stuff is on and that he sould be in good shape for the season.
  3. Wasn't that Kentucky v. Michigan State?
  4. Wow they put Beckett in fornt of him. That surprises me.
  5. I can't stand him. What an assclown.
  6. This is no shocker since they are the euivalent of a AAA w/ D-Train.
  7. Well's would flip a s*** if he was sloted in the 5. It's likely he pitches #3 in the rotation.
  8. HAAAAA I knew it. No one can resist the NCAA tournament. No one.
  9. And my point was I have a life and stuff pops up all the time that may be fa more important than a day trip to Fenway. For example I'm working in Florida for a little more than the entire month of July. I didn't know htis untill last week so if I had won a july game in the contest and this coems up obviously I can't go...
  10. People have to understand A-Gone isn't here for his bat, he's hititng in the 9 hole for a reason. His Glove is better than the glove of Pokey Reese (which I personally believe with the ammount of runs he has the potential to save could quite possibly make up some of the runs he can't drive in), A-Gone was a fine addition because we have enough offense. Loretta is an upgrade over just about everyone we had playing second last year. Anyone who wants to complain about the Youk / Snow platoon can think of it this way. We could still have the Kentucky Fried Dumbass out there. As for Lowell he had an off season last year at the plate but he could just as easily bounce back, and no one can question his defense. Bottom line here is that our infield this year > our infield last year, no question about it.
  11. Some of us have lives and can't plan months ahead of time.
  12. Jay Payton was amazing. He was just playing behind Johnny, Manny, and Trot. And he was supposably an assclown in the clubhouse.
  13. I'd say it's too bad except he would never play. I only regret they didn't hold onto him untill someone's infielder went down in the season so we could get something back for him.
  14. Because that's an unbelieveably good idea given his track record against the Yankees. There's no wya nay sane manager in baseball owuld allow him to do that.
  15. NBA : Celtics v. Knicks NHL: WHALERS v. Devils Never been to an NFL game.
  16. i don't know what they're planning but we have a log jam righ now and i could see them making some kind of move.
  17. I personally believe anyone can be braoken down by the way the Pats coach the game because if he becomes a proble they won't hesitate at all to sit him untill he shuts up.
  18. He lead the team in quality starts in the last two years.
  19. For an extra 12 million dollars and another year anyone else owuld hae done the exact same thing.
  20. Ok maybe this is just me but does anyone else see some sort of trade in the works? We have an excess of set up men and about a billion infielders. There are too many roster players and osmetihngs gotta give. I don't know what the front office is doing here but it wouldn;t shock me at all to see a big trade coming up.
  21. That's my entire argument summe dup right there. You can't single Bonds out because he's trying to break a record while people who have tested positive or admitted to taking them are still in the game.
  22. If he's unrisrticted I say go for it. If he's restricted then he's not worth giving up a draft pick for.
  23. If you want immediate results in the NFL it would be better to go with Lienart. He has played in an NFL style offence. Vince Young on the other hand will be a project. His entire collegiate career was get in the shotgun, make his recievers run routes, and let him do whatever the hell he wants.
  24. The FO is reallly bothering me know. They're ike 20 million dollars under the cap they could have afforded to re-sign at least one of these guys. They better sign Lavar Arrington now.
  25. Raffy was forced to quit because no one wanted him. The Giants will do what they have done this entire time. Ignor ethe problem.
