He has gotten some clutch hits, and certainly isnt the worst backup in the world. I mean if he gets hit by a bottle in the side of the head or has a massive stroke, then we'll see bvut I think the cathing situation is the least of our worries. And hey, the good news is that alan embree is rested ...

    I am completely looking forward to the coming weeks. The club even while losing seems to be pulling together and capable of pulling any game out. Last night just was some awesome pitching. We have got to keep winning and not start watching the yankees.. I like the schedule--except we always seem to struggle against the O's I'm not quite sure why they did that Varitek thing right now...they could have waited agame or two.... This is what it is all about and thank god we are right in thick of things.

    nothing would be better than overtaking the yankees except for possibly george stienbrenner having a massive stroke while in bed with joe pepitone's son. I think we can do it, their pitching is wilting, their bats are anemic, their fans are retards and we are hot as can be. I dont dont about any curse, I have some curses for them however--f*** you. That's one. PS: There must be some other forums for riff-raff, why come here and soil up a red sox room.

    what am I missing? where's the outpouring of anger and rage toward our bullpen. I cant figure out why I vomit and shake uncontrollably every time I see embree, adams, leskanic, and timlin, et al....stroll in from the bullpen. Is mine the only fist that is hurling towards the wall when these a -holes give up their customary two or three runs an outing. I aint that good on stats but I know alan cost us a couple in Minnestoa, and Timlin defintely blew the game yesterday to name one. The both of them have combine for other disasters. I know pitching in the league is scarce but what compelling reason is there to keep say embree around, he sucks against lefties, he cant get poeple out, he chokes and he just play stinks. '

    at6 least I made some sense. ThaERA figure is misleading becasue of our lusy defense. I dont think our bullpen is very good at all. I dont think alan embree could get FDR to strike out or walk for that matter... Last night they walked someone to get to Carbrera with the b ases loaded. I was thinking out loud about his weak hitting.

    Now that the dusk has settled and Nomar's body is getting cold, what are you guys thinking about Carbrera. I am thinking as much as I support the decision to get rid of Nomar, and to get something (anything) for him before he bolted after the season--this guy cant hit for beans. Real Managers (unlike Teresa) who manage are quickly learning that they can walk hitters to get to Carbrera becasue they are assured an easy out. He can field thats for sure, just as good if not better bthan Nomar, but man ,those uintimely pop-ups, stupid swings at first pitches, strikeouts and hits when it didnt count are looking good right about now. Because our bullpen sucks so bad (particularly alan E), we need to win and win big, or at least get the game to Foulke, we cant afford to be carrying any easy outs--so this guy concerns me. What can we do?

    schilling has been great recently? I think you mean pedroi. Clearly schilling has step up and win tonight after last nights fiasco. It appears the only games we win are where we slaughter the oppenent and our relievers arent put in a position to have do very much. So hopefully we score a lot of runs and keep those stiffs out in the bullpen.

    granted we have won three in a row, but no matter what happens the rest of the year, I think this guy is among the worst managers I have ev er seen. I have always said he seems like a nice guy. He would be a great guy to have as an uncle or a neighbor, but he is wimp in the dugout. I dont think he handles the pitching staff very well. He rarely takes out whe it is painfully obvious he should. His staff seems really why over thier heads. How many guys can we get thrown at home. The line-up juggling seems senseless at times, and stupid at other times. Whe a player gets hot that seems a sure fire way to find a seat on the bench. Basically, I agree they probably wont fire him, though I think might in the offseason. What most troubling is I dont think he commands respect in the clubhouse. he's a bonafide stiff. If it were up to me he would long gone already.
