  1. I take back anything I ever said bad about mendoza (which was a lot!!) same with bellhorn... and embree, welll, go sox!!!!!!
  2. ps: take out friggin adams.
  3. even if we lose, this team has started to jell. when they showed rivera getting clobbered, and then 7-0, and then Bells Do, man, I got tingles. We cant be friggin stopped. Never give up, never give in, f*** the yankees, we're going to win!@
  4. almost as bad, but the yankees staretrs are worse. Ponson is a fat slob, but porky will beat the moose. 1.5 here we come.. go wake!
  5. I am from sarasota and the red sox farm team the sarasota red sox down here are the sarasox.
  6. Foulke 'n A. he is getting hot at the right time too.
  7. the whole thing sounds very appealing. It has all the earmarks of a meltdown. What would be nice is some quotes saying what a selfish putz kevin brown is, some good old fashioned dissension, some steinbreenner lunacy and the papers piling on, what is giambi up to. Wont talk to the press about his tumor. I love it.
  8. from the daily news Brown spoke to reporters without a wrap or brace on his hand, and said he intends to simply splint the broken bones and make his next start as scheduled. GM Brian Cashman said the Yankees hope hand specialist Dr. Melvin Rosenwasser can examine Brown today, at which point they'll be able to give a timetable for his return. darn, well, it's still nice to see them implode.
  9. this makes an awful rotation even worse. the new papers are screaming and the yankees arent talking. One article said what someone said here that brown was the most selfish and immature player in the league. Once again, I'd say our team chemistry is extraordinary. I'll take this bunch iof fun loving dirt dogs over those clowns any day of the week.
  10. if I remeber correctly buckner played with those awful ankles all year... Hindsight being 20-20, he shouldnt have been in, but they played him all year in spite of it all. That play was a horrible painful fluke, and christopher reeves could have made that play ...from the chair, but bill didnt. But he played 1st all year and McNamara didint take him most of the year why would he then. Ill take that cookie, as well. No feeding the animals didint you see the sign.
  11. here;s a stat their pitching sucks!
  12. lol.... 58-0 priceless!~!
  13. wasnt wasdin in the famed canseco trade? Dont they have a nickname for him like "Long ball Wasdin"... Anyway, petey, and our bats will demolish these guys. I know els makes excellent posts, but aside from that I think we win.
  14. you're going to regret that ridiculous post pretty soon, cooking.
  15. thats also because trot has a reputation of being the type of "dirt dawg" who would drag his ass out of his death bed to play if the osx needed him. As opposed to a sulky, brooding---sensitive guy who turned down 60 million beans and seemingly gets injured a lot and then broods about being pressured to come back. all more than likely perceptions but explanations nonethelss.
  16. now you mention it they are always doing cool stuff like this. The lifesized bobblehead doll of pedro, the gag with youk, the do rage of the dominican the other day first with pedro then on lowe. I think they get along and they have fun. I think NOmar was probably just aloof, and I dont think they gave a s*** about his quirks one way or another. I was glad to see him go, because of his choke and fade last year in the fall. He cares more about Nomar, and he can do that crap anywhwere but here. These guys have the right chemisty and with that weakling as a manager they are well -suited to self motivation and it appears to be jelling...just at the right time. God, I wish I could have been a fly on the wall in steinbrenners box last night.
  17. What a great feeling, what a perfect night, even mike myers couldnt mess it up, though he tried. Shills is the man, and manny is a God. This was in the New Yorfk Post and couldsnt resist sharing it with you guys. September 1, 2004 -- IT could have been worse. Actually, no, it couldn't have. This was about more than the Yankees being crushed 22-0 by the Guardians last night. And suffering the most humiliating loss of the Joe Torre era with George Steinbrenner on hand. And having the left field scoreboard reveal every minute or so that Boston was beating Anaheim. What ranked this among the Yanks' darkest days since Stump Merrill waddled in pinstripes was the timing. This was supposed to be the week the Yankees feasted against inferior foes at home while the Red Sox, well, became the Red Sox again. Instead, it is as if removing Nomar Garciaparra has enabled Boston to lift The Curse. Boston is going positively 1978 Yankees on the Yankees. And the Yanks are going positively Mets. The lead, once 101/2, is now down to 31/2. The Yanks look like Rosie O'Donnell trying to hold off Michael Phelps in the 100 butterfly.
  18. there was another pitcher a while ago hated by everyone in new york and loved by every one here. He is a big fat f*** named roger clemens. A long time ago they had someone we hated who we signed named mike torres. Most of the hype around all this is by us and the media. They probably dont give a s*** who they sign if he can help whether its pedro or attila the hun.ASll I know is thsat yankee fans tre *******s. and so are the yankees. please God dont let pedro go to them.
  19. sheesh, you guys make these things hard to choose. I voted bats coming alive. We left so many runners on during the past months, poeple like varitek, millar, mueller, etc were all slumping at the same time. Injuries, horrible lineup juggling all combined to limit our true power. Mr. Garciapopup didnt help much when he returned either. Now they are firing on all cylinders. I thin our starting pitching is excellent. 5 starters who can win..are winning and have not been injured, knock wood. Now that are bullpen is improving we can hold leads and stay in games. Another key. This is it fellas....bring on the MF Yankmees. God., I hate them...
  20. sveum doesnt really seem to have any idea of who is on base, and seems to make his decisions based on the situation at hand rather than factoring in who is on base. PLus, he seems to send guys on the basis of "not getting a perfect throw"...This is the f***ing major leagues and 9 times of ten there is a good throwe. he is going to get someone killed. Further, in many cases I think the players just do what they want now because the guy is such a bafoon. A winning streak has a tendancy to turn dumb asses like francona into smarty pants. I still think we have an atrocious coahcing staff, and Dale is a poarty of that. Luckily, now that Nomar is gone the team seems to be taking matters into their own hands. I say let McCarty coach thrid.
  21. but hes the ugliest player in the MLB second to MAtsui so he wont win---RedSox24
  22. alright-already. these guys seem not to have a problem with empire so I must go along with the other sox fans.. man, your posts are cool els...always make a lot of sense you do. what about alan embree?? Just kidding...
  23. i voted for gabe. The guy took a pay cut to stay with the sox. He always seems upbeat, always stay s positive, he has played brilliantly in rightt, has had some key hits and has thrown out some guys. Bronson took second in mind. Young, durable, and has a lot of poise. Youk is up there too. If bellhorn wouldnt strike all the time I might have considered him. Love this kind of poll anyone is deserving, as far as the yankees go, their whole team sucks and you can have the whole f***ing bunch of them and their fans too. El Puque, Gordo, Giam-bi, A-rod, they all suck in my book.
  24. F-U-C-K A-L-L Y-A-N-K-E-E-S In the past I have been highly voal about our bullpen, bugt last night they proved me wrong. Timlin was just masterful, mendoza and foulke. It was beautiful....! with bullpen work like that, it finally appears we are firing on all cylinders.
