we could have gotten a batboy for nomar and it would have been a good deal. He was a BIG baby. Okay, he was awesome for years but the team changed -the dominican boys, millar, Nixon, Varitek, dirt dogs, I think Nomar's intensity made him aloof and he probably was as miserable as he made everyone else. I personally dont forget how s***** he was last september either and bull crap first pitch crap is selfish.. I think he over did it with weights (hmmm, steriods--the guy's locker is still warm and I bring that up...lol...Maybe Mia was like Yoko and turned him on the sox) Seriously, injuries..attitude, lack of clutch...no one puts better numbers up on the board when we are getting creamed or we are creaming some one else. But last septmebr last septemeber and last september. AND, he would be leaving without question at the end of the season and we would have gotten nothing. Instead we got two gold glovers, and really good ballplayers. Harold Reynolds, whom I respect immensely says Carbrera is theamong one of the "MOST" underrated ball players in national league and among one of the best shortstops in the majors, and he had a higher on base pct. tha Nomar last year. The deal was actually a major winner for everyone I think. I have been critical of Theo, but this deal has changed my mind. even if it is a bust---right now I think its fanatstic. Gave th Cubs the world series??????Because of Nomar...no that's a laugh. Good job sox...! Great job

i know I dont really get this pick-up but if it helps--I am all for it. I guess Millar can fill in occassionally, and help sometimes in outfield McCarty is really out of the picture completely--I think he would be a good first base coach. I dont know much about davey roberts, but I know Kapler is oding just dandy in right. Someone said something about Lowe,--rasing to the occasion. Theo should support and Francoan has never given up on this guy. Tonight he has opportunity to prove all of those who have shiown faith that they were right. Lets go get 'em. How weird to be in one clubhouse one night and then be on the other team the next.

It makes me sick how the league favors the yankees. Of course, its because they sell out every where..george has the whole league pussy whipped, though. We always get shafted, but it also is true that our team rallied around each other and kicked ass. Those pussies didnt do anything to help A-Dick... The way Varitek has looked on ocassion at the plate I think dougie will be fine for a three game series. Kapler got suspended as well I think, and Nxon, well who cares right now. We'll put Millar in right and DO at first..then when that is done...DO can sit his time out. I dont see it as a big deal... Meanwhile Derek must be sitting by looking at the phone. It's remarkable...we beat the yanks twice win 4 out of five games...the yankees lose last night and we're 8 back and a half game out of the wild card. How many times over the years has this pattern of winning when the yankees win and losing when the yankees lose taken place--and we end up going no where. we have got to start peeling off some streaks. I thought the rainout would help us keep the momentum going, but it seemed to end it. Like the all-star break this team seems lose energy whenever there is a break in this schedule..very weird. Off day today...ugh. Every one will probably get mad at me..but I still think Franconca is awful, inexperienced at best. Here's just a smattering of evidence. Every other team seems to be able to score on us when they for example, get a lead-off double..They bunt and then gthey et the guy in from third. It happened last night. We get a lead off double, kapler it looked like on his own bunted foul, and then third base coach calls him over and tells him not to do that. In an instant the innings over and we get nothing. The O's on the other hand did it and scored. PLus, real fast. He leaves guys in way too long, as though somehow by the time it's the sixth or seventh they will recover. By the time he pulls them we're losing by way too much. Mazzilli, a rookie manager, lifted his pitcher for a new one before there was trouble. Ok, Francona didint lose that game for us, but he aint helping. and he was outmanaged by another rookie manager

I hate to say it but I have been watching the guy for years and I always have thought he was kind of a an egostical self-important boob. i still think that he is thin skinned, not on the mound, but when reporters press him on stuff. I am waiting to decide on mendoza but colmpared to the stiffs theo has paraded out ther I muist say Mendoza hasnt looked all that bad. One bad pitch which is strill flying around kenmore square, but other than that not too shabby. So what is that 3 million a year for 8 innings

But man, Millar is on friggin fire, and bells got a nice and key homer, and while I am feeling genrous, no on e has real;ly mentioned that embree and even Mendoza were kick ass saturdya. Mendoze 6 wonderful outs against his old team, it was spectacular. I dont know much about adams but I think its a band aid. Leskanic I noticed has come up with a strange "I suck get me out of here" injury... Gabe in for Trot I dont think we suffer with that. All I can say is that these two games were f***ing inspiring...
