f*** 8-4...why did I let myself feel good. I shoulsd know better. Why the *(&*($@#$%$^^ does francona leave these guys in for such a pelting. I can tell when a bum like lowe runs out of gas.... That's why I blame francona. He's a dummie.... Try and stop the bleeding before it getrs out of hand....he is so ill-prepared and is so friggin reactive. I mean torre is an inning or two ahead..tony is an inning or two behind. -

Okay I am feeling good today, all is right with the world, so far. But even in my good mood, I have to say bellhorn is a pretty lousy hitter. Damon is on fire, too. PLus, a couple of really nice cathes. I dont want to put the hex on things but I like the situation at Shea. -

Manny is on fire, I garee that stupid walking Nomar....Tek looks pretty sorry at the plate. Millar hasnt rbi since god knows when. Why is DO sitting, tomorrow is on off day? I wonder if those two horrific games have jolted some heart and grit into these guys. For all the bitching I have done I noticed the yankees losing and we're 2 back for the wild acrd. Let's get it on. Lowe..lowe !!! -

manny is a God. DOUGIE thats what we needed. They said varitek was out because he played two extra inning games back to back. The way he has been swinging the bat, he can sit for awhile. As far as I can see that was one of the first times we had the lineup I thought we'd have all year. It was a beautiful thing to see that stiff mIllar and bellhorn in the dugout. I agree Life is complete! -
I can barely type I am so despondent. Nice clutch hitting by Nomar...as usual meaningless hits and then when we need him a double play. Terribel managing. why the hell dso we have that martinez kid, he gets shelled every time he pitches. Manny is a god. bellhorn is terrible, awful...ridiculous. Millar plays the game like irene ryan. At the very least please lets lose in 9 I need my sleep. Time for a change...fire francona and trade Nomar he's a cancer, Do it now
-
FDR would be faster than Millar probably hit better too--I know he could out hit bellhorn... Oh damn, I have faith but please dump Francona before its too late....please theo, here my prayers..make changes.....NOW....before the all-star break.

els- after reading your post I cant help but feel better. No matter what being a redsox fan is better than being a yankee fan. I dont care (well I do really) if never beat them again, the sox will always be better. I am hoping that last night knocks these guys in the ass and someone emerges as a leader to lead them b ack into the hunt. Manny is playing out of this world and so are some other guys. Millar needs to be on the bench forever, bellhorn is awful....Tek needs to wake up..I dont think he has ever looked that lost at the plate. Onward to atlanta. The yankees will always suck and so do their fans. Nomar is a bitch.
-
oh and by the way...Yanks Hater...I'm afraid to say that at this point I think Nomar is a bigger faggot.
-
I cant out f*** Zenny, but I agree with all of you. I hate friggin Jeter, but man, he gives it all and he is a cheerleader. Nomar is a stuck ujp pussy. The most exciting game and an important one against the yankees, and he cant even get off his f***in ass to join his teammates to cheer. That game said it all...what a heartbreaker. You know someone mentioned walker, I miss him. Bellhorn is another zombie... Since Nomar got back the chemisty on the team has imploded. Jeter hands down
-
Let's talk about Nomar. I think he is a stuck up baby. I think he is a steroid freak, as well. He fell apart last year at the end and has been useless since. I wonder what our record was before he came back and what is since. I believe he has been impact player....But not the way we'd like.
-
time to pile on...get it out of system....on the plus side....well, enough said ab out that Millar--2 ribi's in the last 23 games? I can see why he plays all the time...mccarty and kapler probably have about as many in about a total of 5 innings over that strecth. Dump this clown.. Nomar--I truly believe Nomar is a baby. You can get away with that intensity thing and stand offish crap when you play well. But in this town when you suck you should be a man and answer up to it. Sure it may all be coincidence but we werent doing too badly while Nomar was injured, and since he's been back we really have sucked...... Tek-I like Tek he goes in spurts and he is a great catcher. Keep him. Lowe-is overated and over paid..Ta-ta. Pedro- keep 'em. Tony-get packing buddy, we dont have a chance with this guy. Now--I'm, sick of the I love these guys we'll play through it crap. Come on people, we always say that and when we do snap out of it we're so far gone we barely claw back in to contention. One reason the yankess clobber us because when they have problems Georgie fixes it--fast! Come on theo-Shake it up now!@
-
els, you're a genius... I agree completely...I guess I am overreacting to coma types we keep getting. Though I am huge Jimy fan, maybve he was too fast on the hook, but he at least used his bullpen and got starters out of there before they ran completely out of gas. Lou is and has always been a favorite. Where's Hargrove? Did Manny like him?
-
painfully obvious. Add millar to the list. Okay, what can they do. My vote is oust francone, which they would never do, but I think the redsox need a guy like tony pena or a hard ass (a la Dick Williams) a fiery guy--earl weaver... not some placid stat freak. Our teams has stats but no heart. You need both
-
I agree about nomar and lowe. Nomar.....you know I turned on Nomar at the end of last year. Nobody can kill a rally faster than Nomar. He doesnt get clutch hits, and he chokes in the field. He isnt worth the money any more. Last night he looked awful, and he has looked like a Zombie since he returned. I wonder what our record is since he returned...he isnt a force in the clubhouse, he hasnt been playing well, and he gets paid a lot of money. I say its time to say toodles to nomar. Lowe never wins in the clutch, he gets creamed out of fenway and is paid a lot fo money. If I'm not mistaken when we took 6 out of 7 games from the Yanks, didnt the one loss got to lowe. God, last night made me sick. It's friggin June and we heading towardrs the wild card already. We need to take the next two or else. How come francona leaves guys in when they are giving up tons of runs.
-
A week or two ago I would have said sinara. But brandon has been so bad, and the middle relief has been so bad. (Except for Timlin and williamson) I say Kim couldnt do worse. let him start and then see who gets traded.
-
Okay, I have had it and yes I am optimistic about the future. This same thing happend last year and look what happend. I was ranting and raving about how much I hated alan embree (and I still do) and I never missed an opportunity to insult Grady. I vowed to be mr. sunshine this year, because responding to every peak and valley makes me nuts. Objectively, I cant get by how awful kevin millar is playing. He stinks at bat and in the field. How long can you keep using a guy because he is good in the clubhouse. I am not sure. At least gabe is fast. I cant come up with anything millar does positive on the field. Last year was last year. We need some production from this guy-NOW.
-
I get carried with comparisons to last year, too. But it doesnt mean anything other some satsisttical manipulation of the facts, if every team was doing the same maybe, but this a is a whole new year--and last year dont count for nothing. 25-25 is this year and it sucks. We need someone to step up and it appears to be manny anbd DO...Nomar garciapopup seems to be coming out of his coma, and well, if the 4 and 5 starters can do better than throwing BP..We may have something. Nothing would be sweeter than taking the series from the yankmees.

"Sometimes, quite simply, it looks like they're coasting. Like they are going through the motions and biding their time. Like they expect to win just by showing up. " I thought I'd add this quote from the herald into the mix. I agree with most of you. No clutch hitting, bad middle relief, poor managing. UNfortunately, Francona is another in a series of nice guys that let the players manage themselves. The Cowboy Up theme highlighted by Kevin Millar, sounds silly when Millar is hitting like a Dallas Cowgirl. I seem to remember feeling like this last year at some point last summer after a coiuple of horrible games in baltimore and Tampa...and that worked out. Wouldnt lou pinella look good in the dugout?
-
Nomar has picked up where he left off last fall. Pop-ups, a strike out here and that error. I k now I'll be jumped on, :How about that grand slam"...well, it was about time. Take a look at Trot, he does his job and is off to a great start. How about 5 things we need to change to trun this around and get back on track.. 1) Better starting pitching. Wake and Brandon have been ok at best lately. 2) Clutch hitting, more production out of some guys who are haviung dismissal years. Hey. Millar that means you. 3) a set lineup, enough with the resting..what happened to playing in every game. 4) Better middel relief, Emnbree is a bum and there are no stats tha can change my mind on that. He a 16.00 plus ERA last week, and that of course, doesnt include runners he inherited who scored and didnt appear on his stats. 5) Better managing. what you guys think--what's your 5?
-
I think Crespo should be come a magician..Introducing CRESPO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe he could be good at that, becasue he stinks here. Pokey....I hope he is back this weekend, he's a real gamer..... I am being a typical redsox fan, by starting to get worried already. We just cant seem to get rolling. Embree makes me nuts, I dont understand the pick-ups we make for these stiff washed up closers, a la Todd Jones. I mean I like theo but some of these tired old arms just dont cut it...sauerbeck, suppan...PU.... Please someone remind me how it dffelt earlier this season, even without Trot, et al (notice I didnt mention Nomar)
-
no kidding JM..what are we thinking, just what we need some stiff to pitch batting practice...alan embree can get shelled just fine without adding another bum to the mix. If we wanted a rightie to get "bitch slapped" couldn't we just bring up Mendoza. How about a legitimate 5th starter, and better use of the staff.....williamson is back... Let's start a winning streak tonight..come on now!
-
I vowed not to get pissed off this and just enjoy myself. We got rid of that dunce grady and so on. I know it's easy to second guess the manager, but how could you rest manny yesterday?? And no matter what stats anyone throws at me I think alan embree is awful. 2 runs an outing...He lets runners score he inherited and thta never appears on his ERA. He almost lost the game after a big comeback friday and he did lose the game after a comeback on saturday.
-
I am trying to be patient with terry. He seems to have a lot of wonderful and admirable traits, but he never seems to get a pitcher out of there before it's too late. How on God's green earth could he let bronson swing away during that first at bat?? His platooning is all over the place...I'm not quite sure what he is thinking with his use of the bullpen, he seems to have an almost obsessive need to bring in whomever they just have called up from the minors and sit back watch them self-destruct. He doesnt seems to really know what to do with the middle relief. Speaking of relief, I would be relieved if embree wqould be released. The old 95 mph fastball down the middle is getting might old. I am turning on tony. Help, i dont want to.
