A bench DH? Seems like a waste of a roster spot to me. They did that last year in hopes that someone would get hurt (and someone did). It's still a bad idea though.

I was going to say the bench DH got like 280 plate appearances last year, which was 7th on the team.

Will they do it again? No idea, but I mention the possibility because they did it before…

I already explained that of being a case of cerebral fecalitis. That’s the best excuse I got. No I don’t have a Lynne jersey, or a Lynn jersey either.

My philosophy has always been< I'll take the h9igh Ks if production is still present, but that doesn't mean we have to try to K a lot, or that swinging wildly is ever a good approach without a need for a tweak or change.

I'm not at the point where I'd try to tweak Roman's approach too much. Batting coaches are always giving pointers, advice and sometimes more. I'm fine with that.

I do worry about Roman not becoming a really good hitter, but not as much as his health, right now.

If Roman is healthy and Duran isn't a schlub, bench DH gets way less than 280 PA.

No, I'm far from worrying about this, and it's insightful that you assume things like this about other posters.

Saying a player hurt his pinky and missed most of the season is an outright lie and has connotations I'm sure even idiots understand what they are. Well, maybe not one idiot.

I point out lies. I don't worry about them or you. I try not to laugh and us the R word, but you make it difficult.

I wasn’t  talking about RBI. Those were my two favorite players. I couldn’t spell Lynn, but I could always spell Yastrzemski, and he did get over 100 RBI 5 times with two of them in his age 36&37 seasons.

Well-deserved.

They were my boyhood team, as we lived a couple blocks away from the old County Stadium. I remember $1.00 bleacher tickets.

My favorite player was Tommy Harper, and when we moved to Maine about the same time Harper was traded to the Red Sox, I switched my fandom to the Sox.

The newer roof made that stadium a little less dreary, but it's still a dump. Worst stadium in the league. 

A new ballpark won't help their fans either. They'll still have excuses for why they can't fill up the seats.
