At the same time the Yankees have rope-a-doped our #3 and #4 hitters.  I think Contreras is regressing to his norm and Rutschman is possibly exploring a new norm (not a good one) for him.

He has the highest WAR on the team.  I'm pretty sure the 3d base coach told him to go on that shallow fly to LF.  While it's possible the 1b coach told him to go on the liner to CF, I kind of doubt it.

It was the 4 & 5 batters. They weren't rope-a-doped, they were both knocked out with a good right.

Rafaela’s weaknesses are more glaring than most others. Everyone can improve but most of the guys aren’t stupid on the basepaths and have a better idea of the K zone. He stands out as lacking in those areas.
