I know he hasn't played in many crucial games.  And I'm not knocking the guy.  I said I loved him.

No postseason since 2014, which is a long time for a team thats had 4 MVP’s since then.

But that’s not on Trout, who himself has 3 MVPs and 4 MVP runner-ups.  How many players have 7 top two finishes in MVP voting?

Ryan or Naylor should have been targets. Naylor with Seattle has an OPS+ of 138. I haven’t checked but I bet that’s better than anyone we now have.
As I said, I’d have only fired Breslow if the Sox didn’t make the playoffs. Obviously they did. But he still did a s*** job at the TD.

Are you familiar with the term 'broken record?'

Ryan has been horrible since the trade deadline. 20 starts, 51 IP, 5.05 ERA.

Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don’t make..

Especially since he lives in a fantasy world where the GMs only job is to improve the team at the deadline…

I'm pretty sure that you said he should be fired for the lack of moves at the deadline with no qualifiers attached. Maybe I'm wrong.

He tried to be active but could not work out a deal.  To me that means he was not willing to overpay for a few players who were most likely never have going to have the impact to make this the team that wins the World Series.

I'm cool with that.

I still think we coulda-shoulda, but not knowing the asking prices makes it hard to make have a clear position, for me.

The Matz trade worked: the May trade did not.

The Lowe pick-up worked.

The call-ups (Early, Eaton, Sogard and others) and returning injured players (Slaten, Yoshida and others) have helped, too.

Are you falsely claiming that improving the team at the deadline is NOT one of the jobs of the GM?

To me it means he failed

The only things that have failed are your inane predictions.

I couldn't be happier that you enjoy reading them so much!

I didn't get to watch this game live, thanks to stupid Apple TV.  I watched it the next morning, having already known what happened.  Rafaela's walk off triple brought tears to my eyes.

IMO, there should be nothing but joy for the players on this team.  They played their hearts out.
