Good job by Bernie.

Sure was.  And Buehler just might have found a niche.  That was a sweet pitch for strike 3 and out of the inning against the top of the Yankees order.  I would be tempted to send him back out for the 8th.

Just because I can't stand Rodent doesn't mean he's not a good pitcher.

When you're 8-1 vs a team, it's kinda hard to build up a big dislike for anybody.

2004 WS champs. That's a few more words under that heading.

I had doubts until the last out.

C'mon, Moon. The Sox could be 13-0 and I'd still dislike those A-holes. Hard to believe I have to explain this to a Sox lover.

Sox 3 best hitters go down in a row, 2 with K's.  Hard to see a rally in the 9th.

We've seen bottom of the order magic, before, but this does not have the feel of a comeback win.

I guess going 3-1, on the road is very nice, but I was really hoping for a sweep and passing HOU in the AL standings.

It's gotta hurt being a Yankee fan, knowing you singlehandedly put the Sox ahead of you and in the top WC seat in the playoff hunt.

Oh, I hate em as much as ever, but I don't really identify with individual players, so much, this year.

I just find Rodent and Stanton easy to dislike. Not as easy as Penis Head was.

I don't hate them for the simple reason that the Yankees and Red Sox are one of the best rivalries in major American sports despite the Yankees having the bigger fan base, attendance, tv audience, and $$$$.  If they stink all the time, no point in the rivalry.  Historically they've had the upper hand (27 WS), but in the JH era the Sox have been a lot better.

This year the 2 teams are just about even steven and that makes winning 3 of 4 at Yankee Stadium in late August all the more enjoyable.

Well maybe not when Duran K's yet again.  Boy, do we need Abreu back in RF, Rafaela in CF, and Anthony in LF.  Duran needs some R&R.  About a week or 2 should do.

I guess WB is only good for one inning. Hope Cora writes that down.

1.1 innings.

I live in Central NY. I respect NYC. W/O NYC this state would be Nebraska.

Those two are easy. I'm not a Cole fan, either but he's out. I kinda like the Yankee players who suck, and Boone and Cashman are the Sox best friends.

This team swings at so many bad pitches. I guess bad umpires can cause batters to wonder, but man-o-man!

What does this team do with Yoshida.  Defensive liability and clearly not hitting well at all.  Turning out to be a huge bust.

Cole put Devers on the map.

Series over.  Sox still ahead of everyone in the WP race.  On to Baltimore who were downright pesky last Mon-Tues--and at Fenway yet.

Tomorrow's Sox starter is TBD and will be followed by Giolito, Bello, and Crochet in Boston.

Sox `1/6 with RISP tonight.  Duran was a one man wrecking crew.  Unfortunately he wrecked the good guys.

A few thoughts:

This game was an advertisement for technology assisted strike zone calls.

Duran seemed totally overmatched at the plate. Kept his bat on  his shoulder 3 times with 2 on base and then swung at terrible pitches the next at bat.

Lowe has a major league  bat and should be in the lineup.

Buehler may help us in relief.

Almost a resignation of we won 3, last game 4 is on us.

Yankees play seven with White Sox and Nationals this week.

Game 4 should have been played with same passion and intensity of Games 1 through 3.

May ?

Would not have gone past 2nd inning if I were managing.

Well they accomplished what they needed to do: win the series. Now they need to make sure they win the series in Baltimore too. I’d like to see what Fitts can do. He’s pitched some decent games.
