I have a feeling the Password makes his debut tonight vs a lefty.

And in support of the Red Sox Way chases a swing strike 3. Granted Fried is a pretty good pitcher.

Bello gets through 2 with no runs but at 40 pitches. he may struggle to get 5 full unless he can get more efficient.

So 4 innings of bullpen ?

Something something "Roman Empire", something something "Max Fried is cooked", something something "Friday night baseball".

I am wondering if the Sox will continue their mastery over the Yankees, which has been both remarkable and brutal!

Fried has been weak as of late. I still say the Sox will prevail in this game, probably striking for the kill somewhere in the middle, between the fourth and sixth innings.

Eaton has a lot of speed but his brain is slow

Fundamentals? Don’t do those anymore!

Such a b.s. mis-use of replay.  That runner would be safe for 150 years.  If you bounce in the middle of a slide and you are over the base you should be safe.   No way that would be an out on the field.  Replay should not be looking for things human umpires can't see or don't give a cr*p about.

Sox can never just steal a base. The slide is  often an overrun

Eaton and Hamilton should take a course on base running 101.  Lots of speed but zero technique. Watch a little Rickey Henderson.

Head first slides require left foot to left hand to keep in contact with the base. Eaton literally  humped second base.  Fundamentals

Agreed. Pretty weak call but it has cost the Sox the first run

Has this team won a game against a great decent pitcher this year? I would love to know their record against very good pitchers this season.

Begs the question of how many games this season have the Sox beat themselves? They probably lead the league.

Very good pitchers don't lose a lot of games. That's why they're very good pitchers. Hope this answers your question.

True but you still have to beat good pitchers once in awhile.

If you look at max fried’s last 6 starts he has been very hittable.

They beat Fried earlier this year.
