Cease is nasty today. Looking at his game logs, he’s either been very good or very bad; unfortunately for the Sox, today is one of the former.

Better get him this inning, because that Padre bullpen looms in the 6th.

Well we didn’t get him. I’m not sure their pen could do a better job than Cease anyway.

Based on the three previous seasons, there's no sane reason to be optimistic this season. Just thank goodness the Sox have Crochet and Chapman.
