My post was a general comment about monolithic forums. They’re boring

Groupthink. Good book.  Diversity of opinion is a good thing.  "I cannot praise a fugitive and cloistered virtue, unexercised and unbreathed, the never sallies out and sees her adversary, but slinks out of the race where that immortal garland is to be run for, not without dust and heat."

I think diversity of opinion this season has been unavoidable given all the ups and downs.

If diversity of opinion is a good thing, just take a deep breath next time you guys start to get worked up at each other again. None of this matters! We're not employed by the Red Sox. We can't get our favorite players extended and the disliked players DFA'd.

In other words you finally recognize the need for me and people like me! Good start. Every forum deserves a resident genius 😉

Exactly! Anyone who takes sports too seriously (ANY aspect of sports) has his or her priorities misplaced.

A compliment for a third base coach!  You don't see those too often. 😊

Probably a first for me.  But I love his aggressiveness and we get far more extra runs and bases than we surrender.  I'm still getting used to having a fast team who likes to run even though it's been the case here for several years.

Maybe, but a $16 dollar beer anywhere is nothing to joke about.

Right now, to be honest, I don't see the Sox weaknesses.

Max, I'm not sure why you refuse to see Toro as a weakness.

He hit .538 in his first 8 games and .590 in games 25 to today (43 games.)

He hit very well in a 16 game stretch.

He has a -4 DRS on D at 1B (25th in MLB.)

He was a career .638 OPS guy, before this season (over 5 years.)

If this is not a weakness, nothing is, and no teams have any weaknesses.

Next up, Yoshida...
