Casas continues with hitting, nice shot over the Monster, but O'Neill keeps his 1 for 33 alive.

Story outthinks himself and team by a pick off/ failed SB attempt before Casas's HR.

Keeping it real and  SOLO.

sorry SS, have to go out now, so bring this  81st win home !!

Fred Lynn won't be happy but those are the breaks, Fred

The SOX are the 3rd most valuable franchise in MLB. Time for ownership to act like it.

Even OB is mailing it in this weekend. He just told viewers that Crawford's homers have been going through the roof -- doesn't he know they're playing at Fenway and not Tampa?

34 homers given up. So who led the SOX in HR's this season? Homer Crawford.

I don't believe Homer Simpson ever gave up a HR or hit a HR. So his first name is very misleading.

Looks like Crawford ended up on a sour note, after such a promising start. (4.26 ERA)

2.17 ERA/ 2.91 FIP First 10 games (2.89/3.10 after 11)

3.86/ 4.67 GS 11-20 (4.26/5.82 GS 12-22)

6.41/6.60 GS 21-30

He had a really bad 6 start stretch: 8.89/8.62

Counting today, he'd have a 2.95 ERA, if you take out those 6 starts.

And if you removed Duran's futility  in the 1st innings of games, he'd be batting over .300.

Will the SOX finish at .500 and will the SOX finish 3rd in the AL East?

Both these very important questions will be answered tomorrow. I'm sure you can't hardly wait.

Btw, Can't Hardly Wait was a mediocre film from '98, but a terrific song by The Replacements in '87. This song includes the wonderful lyric "Jesus rides beside me; He never buys any smokes."

Gasper should be the designated 'ghost' runner.

I got home just in time to see useless O'Neil groundball a single through the left side but more importantly to see Mickey Gaspers TAKE strike 3 to continue his 0-16 in MLB , with 7 Ks.   I know AC is giving the never to be seen again stud muffin a chance of a lifetime, and maybe we will see him tomorrow , but I hope not.

Does every Rays' pitcher throw 98 mph? (just asking for a friend)

Somehow they're blowing away the Red Sox, with nary a bleat from OB: "Sweeper, sweeper, sweeeeeeeee- purrrr"

Strictly an observation , but I think the Sox hitters across the board have a hard time with FB's in the 94-99+ range.     They used to have FB hitters but no more, foul, foul, miss, grab some pine , son.

I know this will irritate some on here, but not all.      Dropping these 2 games at Fenway, scoring a total of 3 runs confirms to me that this is a clutchless, gutless bunch of pretenders with little to no pride in making a statement to themselves, forget the fans.

Win tomorrow and finish right at .500, a whopping 3 game improvement over the prior 2 years.

Lose tomorrow, and swept and caught by the Rays  , finishing  1 game under .500.  A 2  W improvement.   Nice work boys in the FO, clubhouse , dugout and the playing field.

If this final home stand was supposed to leave a good taste in our mouths, well, then this can also be added to the season's failure list.

A-hole Jansen physically left the team before this home stand. It appears many of the SOX mentally joined him.

Btw, it's difficult to hit a baseball if one's been practicing his golf swing over the last couple of weeks.

👍👍👍. Once again the Red Sox have been fantasy contenders in fantasy contention led by Alex Cora who once agains team caved down the stretch, or since the AS break this year, and out of the postseason for the third year in a row. A rudderless club led by a rudderless skipper whose fundamentals were once again Little League at times.

SOX still have a shot at 4th place, which should make Fred a happy camper.

Freds in Hawaii ignoring the Flops. But yes-finishing behind the the Rays with a losing record would thrill me .
Screw John Henry and his “full throttle” bs.
