Youk prattling on about Martin's ability to "fill up the zone" with strikes.  He walks the leadoff man,

but comes right back with the DP ball. It was all a setup, BJ fans

I liked Youk as a ballplayer, but, imho, he's a nightmare in the booth. I'm getting the Jays' feed, so I'm not being tortured by the Youk.

Agree on Youk overall as an analyst, but at least today’s comment wasn’t without merit, that was walk number 3 on the season (one of which Cora held up 4 fingers for).

Hey, Vegas, dig this. The SOX leadoff batter and the SOX number 9 batter are tied for 2nd in RBI for the SOX. You can't make this shite up.

Of course both of these players played the most games for the SOX, which wasn't that hard to do.

Going forward, I'd definitely rather be a SOX fan than a Jays' fan.

Jays look like a team who could be the new cellar dwellers in the AL East for a while.

Remember when the Jays were going strong with Guerrero Jr., Biggio and Bichette , plus Manea. Looked like they would own the ALE.  Not so fast, Pilgrim

This bullpen is perfectly capable of doing what’s needed.
Just lose baby!

Fred says what everyone is thinking, except  Moon

Relief pitchers totally incapable of challenging hitters with a strike. let them hit the ball or swing/miss.  Pitiful show between two marginal teams

Crazy game, this is.

Even more amazing is that they could win out and miss the dance. Hope not, it would be too disheartening.

Take the 81/82 wins and call it a success, Sam Kennedy.  Something to build on

"Crazy, crazy for loving you only. I'm crazy for crying and crazy for trying and crazy for loving you."

Well, my beloved team has won 4 championships this century, so I'm really not that crazy.

One of my biggest hopes of this season was that the other teams had bigger holes than we did.

We've seen they do have gaping holes, but we had too many and too big ones of our own.

We can pretty easily run off a few legitimate and singular "what ifs and we'd be in the playoffs."

If not winning the WS is considered a failure, then we are in the same boat as 28 other teams.

I do think winning the ring is the ultimate goal, and I am not giving up on our chances of #5 under JH & Co., but we can't be thinking no major deals are needed to get there in 2025.

No way, can anyone expect these guys to keep the status quo, let alone improve on the 2024 team:

Pivetta> Giolito

Jansen> Hendriks

Martin> Whitlock

Sims/Garcia/Paxton> Fulmer

RHB O'Neill> RHB Story (Rafaela to CF)

This is NOT an improvement.

I'm not trading Anthony and DHam for a decent RPer and adding Anthony & Campbell/Mayer can be close to enough, either.

On the bright side the SOX appear to have 4 legitimate starters for next season,

Also, there's 4 or 5 promising prospects who will get a chance during spring training.

FO needs to strengthen the BP.

If the SOX can stay reasonably healthy next season, it could be a fun 7 months.

Gio and Hendricks are the big ?'s.
