Devers had a not so good September last season also.

I truly think his extreme swing will cause him to "age"  more quickly than he should.  Both shoulders sore at 28 years old ?    His knees, hips and neck are the next to watch for in 2025.

I will credit him for playing a full season so far, a feat which O'Neill, Grissom, Story and many others failed to achieve

Duran has played every game so far this season for a measly $760,000.00.

I disagree about Yoshida, but have to admit the Sox as a team seem especially bad at pitch recognition.  Devers actually seems to prefer to swing at bad pitches and stare at those down the middle.

I wrote this earlier: when Schwarber was here some of his pitch recognition skills rubbed off on his teammates. Now way too many have no concept of the strike zone at all-led by Rafaela, O’Neil, and Wong. And it’s starting to run off on Abreu and Casas.

Kenley was screwed on that last batter.  Two straight excellent pitches called balls.

I believe there is a built in advantage for hitters because they are allowed to complain a lot before anything happens to them.  Pitchers must be cautious about complaining.

In addition, it is much, much harder to hit corners pitching than to swing at almost any pitch inside or outside the zone.

Jansen about to put this one out of reach ?? Or GIDP Alonso ??

The game was already out of reach. It was out of reach after the first inning. It’s what makes these bums such a joke to watch. Same story every night.

Story had nothing to do with this. Right now he's patiently waiting for his bubble wrap to arrive so he can start playing.

Rich Hill is probably a good neighbor and a great guy in the clubhouse but it is an insult for him to be pitching in a game that was winnable until Jansen messed it up with a terrible, out of control non-effort

Sox pen fails again.

Why in Gods name did Cora come with Hill. Hill is old, has already pitched too much.

Then again why come with your closer in the 8th and then bring Hill to bail him out.

Much agreed.  I understand Kenly to hold the line but there is no one behind him . Martin showed last night that no pitcher in a Beantown uniform can be relied upon.

This is now officially embarrassing.

It’s been embarrassing since the ASB. Why on earth they weren’t sellers at the deadline-but instead went out to obtain three dumpster bums-is beyond me.

Full throttle!

As I said last night.....the NESN booth team caved last night. When you lose them, you know you're done.

They are done

He's 6' and 235 lbs.  He's played well--mostly--at that weight because he's just 27 (he doesn't turn 28 until after this season) after 8 freaking seasons.

The SOX BP was weakened when D. Smith was let go.

Well, just figured out that the board has changed. Seems more complicated but I guess I will get used to it.

Regarding the game, the season is over. This pen is has been overused and now it is taxing us.

I heard rumors that Mr Hill calls the cops when his neighbor plays AC/DC.

KC won't allow the SOX to RIP.

Hill doesn’t need to be here.  Bring up some guy who has a prayer of being with the team next year

Can’t believe we don’t have someone in the minors relatively decent.
