It is amazing that a guy like Povich with a 1.56 WHIP and a 5.71 ERA can have shut this hitting team down so far ( through 4) . Any team playing the Sox should just run any LH'ers from their system out to the mound, so they can gain confidence

If Casas' long fly to right had been about 3' longer and higher, it would have changed the game a lot. Bello dealing pretty well.

He pitched nothing like his previous stat line tonight. Part of it was Sox hitters but a bigger part of it was Povich. I can see why the O’s have him rated their #1 pitching prospect.

Masa, right now, is the SOX best hitter. Casas has also looked impressive tonight.

O'Neill, too.

This team has had so many players step it up, at the plate.

Now the drama begins. Great job by Bello tonight.

Bernardino starts off allowing a weak hit.

Jansen needs to catch that. Not an easy play, but one that has to be made. Doesn’t bode well.

Jansen is wearing glasses for a reason, no?

Wasn’t an easy play, it wasn’t hit very high. But it needs to be made.

Bernardino made it moot by getting Mullins.

Bernadino couldn't get a break that inning. Being bad is bad enough, but being bad and unlucky is much worse.

One thing I’ve noticed on the golf course, the better player you are, the luckier you seem to be.

Devers:

.970 OPS career best (.916 in '19)

.378 OBP career best (.361 in '19)

.592 SLG career best (.555 in '19)

.297 BA second best (.311 in '19)

27 HRs (T 4th best, but on pace for 2nd or 3rd best)

77 RBI (5th best, but should end up with 4th best)

Not bad after his "slow start."
