I promise not to say anything negative about Cora this season. I'd actually feel sorry for him if he wasn't making so much money. No manager, whether one likes him or not, should have to go thru a season with an injury prone and, in some cases, talent challenged team like this one. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

They’re certainly playing like they want to lose. But so is Florida. They’re down 2-0 to Toronto.

This bruins group is so unlikeable. Idk that’s how i feel. Ever since that game 7 debacle at home to st louis they haven’t been able to get past that. Many multiple winning seasons and nothing to show for it.

You could be a Laffs' fan. No championship since 1967.

I won't have to watch SNL this season. Watching the Red Sox is just about all the comedy I can handle.

Of course, another error in RF and Wong sticks his leg out and blocks the plate.

Whitock, 4 innings and 54 pitches ?? What a shame that he must be hurt. Joely slip sliding away again. But also another 1 run game so far by Boston offensive offense.

I complain about Valdez as being a problem in the field but every once in awhile he deserves credit for stepping into a pitch and losing the ball. Way to hit Enmanuel.

Of course, no one on base

Yup, and of course, after Casas blunders into an out on the basepaths, we get two hits.

I think the Bruins would rather play Toronto, who I believe they swept this season, compared to Tampa Bay.

Actually, the BRUINS were 8-0 against both Florida and Toronto. They were 1-2-1 against Tampa.

I’ve seen enough of Joely, bullpen would be a lot better with some subtraction

I hope he doesn't stick around as long as Brasier.

The B’s are going nowhere. Last year was the year for them and they blew it.

This is the year of the Celtics. Barring injury the are the favorites to win a ring.

As for this baseball team take down the date. It could well be the last time we’re over .500.

Bibee started this game with a 1.70 WHIP and a 5.09 ERA. The Sox are nothing, if not opponent stat builders. Meanwhile, many of our commenters like to point out our starting pitcher dominance in ERA, which is true, but useless because the games are being played for 9 innings, not 4 or 5.

The next least meaningful stat is the run differential. Yes, winning teams are normally in ++ territory but a 12-2 win against 3 shutouts and now 3 potential 1 run performances don't mean you are a good hitting team. How could this bunch be a good team with guys like Dalbec still on the 26 ? And the sore shouldered Devers toting the rock at .186/.712

If Devers is genuinely still sore shouldered, I would sit him until he is right. He is more likely to either screw up the shoulder more or screw up his swing if he keeps playing with a bum shoulder.

I thought they needed to give him the 10 day IL, which last Thursday. He isn't able to either get well or contribute much as is.

Wong and McGuire may not be the best defensive catchers but this is an offensive team, and these 2 can carry their place on it.
