I didn't see the Rf-1BV play as it happened, but by any chance did Casas miss the tag?

Casas put his glove down the only place that he could have missed the runner.

He's not giving up his ESPN gig to do full time PxP for the Sox.

He's going to be gone for at least a month right now for the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Sean does it all and he's excellent doing them all.

BRUINS finishing 2nd gives them a better chance of getting thru the 1st round of the PO's.

A heads up; the BRUINS are not going to win the Cup. Monty has been a magician with this talent-challenged team, but he's not Houdini.

Winner gets the Islanders, loser gets the Maple Leafs. Tough choice.

The discussion on the benefits or not of coaching and training mid level players is interesting. You can't however, teach baseball instincts and inherent smarts . You cannot coach dumb to not so bright.

Yes, though I don't know how accurate the throw was, if Kwan made a great slide to avoid it or if Casas just flat out missed it.

I wouldn’t trust anything with them let’s be honest. They have been failures in the playoffs.

Agree. Those things are ingrained long before a player reaches the majors.

Not only that but it points out the utter folly of trying to teach fundamentals in the ML's. Suppose you have a guy that simply defies instruction. Now what? You have a guy taking a spot on your ML roster that is NEVER going to be a ML player.

But of course modern computer geekery says everybody can play everywhere. The usual result of that thinking is that nobody can play anywhere.

Wrong. Winner gets Tampa Bay, whom the BRUINS don't fare well against.

Ah, I was was thinking the division winners gets the top two seeds and then the rest go by points. But as I think about it, 2-3 in each division get seeds 3-6 and the wildcards are 7-8.

I sit corrected.

With half the league making the PO's, it does get confusing.

Enjoyed your conclusion. Teammates constantly rotating positions and roster turnover prevent any sort of familiarity and shared experiences that build on the talent.

I complain about Valdez as being a problem in the field but every once in awhile he deserves credit for stepping into a pitch and losing the ball. Way to hit Enmanuel.

Of course, no one on base

Heck his shot was 442. That gives him more right to woof at Teddy Baseball that Casas and his puny 429 shot.

I think the Bruins would rather play Toronto, who I believe they swept this season, compared to Tampa Bay.

Gessus....we are so short of glove hands we have to have a member of the grounds crew as the 1st base side ball boy?????

They’re certainly playing like they want to lose. But so is Florida. They’re down 2-0 to Toronto.
