Pivetta vs Kirby

Sox have a 137 tOPS+ vs Kirby for his career. Maybe they can keep swinging the bats tonight.

Need the bats, I'm afraid, because Pivetta is suspect. But I said that last night about Bello and was dead wrong.

I believe both teams are going with 4 righty starters in this series. Last night Cora started 5 lefty bats--Duran, Devers, Casas, Yoshida, and Valdez, but platooned in Reyes at 2b when I think Seattle brought in a lefty reliever. Valdez was 1/2 and Reyes 0/2.

Game #2 Goals: 1. Boston wins, always the maximal goal; 2. No fielding errors 3. No idiotic baserunning errors 4. Pivetta gives up no more than 2 HRs 5. Sox use speed factor to generate another 6 run scoreboard.

If I don't post 'Pivettaboutit,' the SOX should be in good shape.

Reyes' first AB was a waste. Probably should have just left Valdez in unless they were bringing Reyes in for his glove.

In Spring Training, Pivetta was 2nd in Stuff+ with pitchers above 50 tracked pitches. Last time out, he k'd 9 Twins. Fingers crossed that the good Pivetta from '23 comes back this year.

I guess we'll be seeing Dalbec at 3rd, but I seriously doubt he'll be batting 2nd.

Probably, although Reyes has experience at 3B, too.

It would be nice if Bobby D can get 2 out of the park. It will also be good if he can limit his fielding to just one error, and make a few good grabs. Let's just say, he isn't a natural at 3B.

He is naturally tall at 3B.

This is the first ever Red Sox game I’ve watched on MLB.TV. It’s sad in a way. I’ve never not lived in New England

Btw, against a RH, doesn't it make more sense batting Casas ahead of Story?

Must go LRLRL!!!!

Casas doesn’t have split issues, so he could probably hit right after Masa.
