Speaking of closers, in 2013 KOJI had an ERA+ of 379, which means he was almost 4 times better than the average pitcher.

The only drama KOJI provided was when he threw more than 10 pitches to get 3 outs.

He had that one very good bullpen session, 30 pitches, about 2 weeks ago. But today just reconfirmed he should not start again for the Sox. And maybe, as you suggest, not pitch again for the Sox. He certainly has not been missed.

It would take an injury to Casas or Turner for Dalbec to be chosen as a SEP call up.

 

I’m not even sure he’d get the call unless both went down.

Excellent game against an extremely tough pitcher and team. Casas has come of age and so has Duran (who needs to play every day). Bello looks like our first big time home grown starting pitcher since Lester. Story coming returning should help the run production and the defense (which is the big Achilles heel).
