" Stands like a statue, becomes part of the machine"...... Too bad his parents didn't name him Tommy. He is in fact very still and stiff looking. The walks are contributing but the failure to sharply hit the strikes is why he is there. Given his other noted oddities, I'm suspecting Triston is a little bit over the line on the OCD spectrum.

Earlier this season Manny was on a SOX pregame and he stated playing in NY and Boston is a lot different pressure wise than playing anywhere else.

Casas may be that player who would thrive in a less intense environment. Hopefully, he can succeed in Boston. But, damn, Casas, loosen up!

Good point. And shame on me for picking on him. He's wearing our uniform.

Garza. LOL. how the f*** is this guy still on the team?

1,000 injuries?

Have faith. When the first stringers return- no more Jacques, Garza, Ort...

Quoting Pete Townshend; I'm impressed.

Ort had his hair cut and is in the process of changing his last name.

That absolutely worthless SS Kike makes a neat play and throw to end the game.

Did I forget to mention that, coming into this game, his DWAR as a SS was/is +0.1? Yep--and it's the same as Bogey's. But nowhere near Wander Franco's 1.6.

I think the best example of what Manny said was Carl Crawford. Thrived in low pressure Tampa; failed in high pressure Boston.

Huge win!

Please, please, please... no letdowns playing the A's!

Don't do that. Just stop it. If ever there was a season and a month in which to relish each and every win, this season is it.

That said, against the A's Cora has Paxton and two pitchers to be named later.

My goodness was Winck great tonight!

Wink pretty much changed the momentum of the game.

Also excellent. And I had forgotten Carl.

Bernardino looks like a keeper for now.

But I think the Sox are likely to demote Murphy, Jaques, and Ort first…

You are the most upbeat of all of us and why I'm climbing aboard once again. As I wrote elsewhere, we should be seeing the likes of Story, Chang, Whitlock, Houck, and Schreiber back by August--and just maybe Sale in August. We just need to get through July.

It was

I didn’t specify which team was going to win did I?

Right.

You were saying the first place Rangers were not a playoff team…

Jacques hasn’t looked bad

The Chang and Reyes returns will create a logjam. Certainly Hamilton can get demoted, but someone needs to leave the 40 man roster to activate Chang…

No

You misunderstood

The Sox are not a playoff team

They still aren’t

He definitely helped, but knowledgeable talksoxers know it was the thread starter who turned this team around. Back to back wins over Texas.

And more important, he did it without screwing up the date…
