He got the last out in the 6th, 3 outs (and the unearned run) in the 7th, and the first two outs with the first two batters in the 8th. Then he went single, dinger, single, and BB before Jansen got the 3d out. Plus Winck came in with a 4 run lead and into the 8th with a 3 run lead.

Casas can hit. His defense is definitely suspect, as is his baserunning.

 

Jansen looks awful with that 94 mph fastball right down the middle. He has shown exactly one pitch, his 94-95 mph cutter, in this game.

He may have been a potential winning run but a force at any base is a higher likelihood of being made than picking up a single and throwing out the second runner at home from RF.
