When Yoshi is slashing the ball to the left side , he is a much better hitter than the rollover tops to the right side.

I meant the royal "We" , TalkSoxers in general. You are too precise to slice and dice a nice guy like Christian A., who does have some ability.

Everyone likes his ability; we hate his fragility…

Didn’t Gallo blame the shift for his low batting average every year?

Gallo? Not that I heard. But many analysts did..

“I get the defensive strategies. I do. I am 100 percent not against that… But I think at some point, you have to fix the game a little bit…” Gallo said. “I don’t understand how I’m supposed to hit a double or triple when I have six guys standing in the outfield.”

I just had to look it up and he apparently blamed a lot of his Yankees struggles on the shift lol

That Gallo is still playing is further proof there's too many teams in MLB.

1. He’s only 29.

2. His best attribute is his RF defense, but the Twins don’t play him there…

Kind of silly. His struggles begin an end with his 30+ K%. He probably lost a few hits that way but he‘s only topped .210 twice in his career…

Yeah I think his biggest issue is always that he cannot make consistent contact. The shift doesn’t impact that

I posted that Gallo was 'further proof.' There's much more proof out there to support my argument. But it's not just baseball, the other 3 major sports suffer the same problem. If it's a choice between money and quality, money wins every time.

I did campaign for Gallo this off-season, as after Betts he’s probably the best candidate to defend RF at Fenway. I can live with a .200 BA if it comes with Gold Glove defense…
