Yes. Kluber grts pulled. It's bad when player's manager pulls you with less than 70 pitch count.

Bleier and Kluber should be left in San Diego

Bleier will definitely be gone when Whitlock/Schreiber return.

That's at least the second time Bleier's done that this season--come in with a man on first, facing a lefty hitter (advantage to the pitcher), and given up a 2 run dinger.

Or is it the 3d time?

He's got reverse split.

Cora has given up on this game.

I'd bring in Pivetta and let him finish the game.

Actually, this game is starting to make sense. First Kluber, who absolutely stunk. Then Bleier who only needed one pitch to stink just as much. And now Pivetta warming up in the bullpen.

There ain't no such thing as a "good loss," of course, but my preference is for losses--if they must occur (and they must)--to include both lousy pitching and lousy hitting. Plus throw in the error by Valdez.

The one not so good aspect is having to use all those bullpen arms because Kluber got pulled after 2.1 innings.

11 years of Bogey. Good luck with that San Diego. I believe the SOX already got his best years for a lot less money.

Same applies to Mookie.

I know patience is a virtue, but Casas has all the makings of one of those AAAA players.

I think I’d hold off a bit on offering him one of those Atlanta Braves long term contracts.

After accumulating 6 runs against the SOX two worst pitchers in 3 innings, the Padres returned to the overpaid weak hitting team that they were starting the game.

I certainly hope they don't make the PO's.

Of course, the SOX have been known to pick up players whose best years are behind them. We saw one today. But, at least, the SOX didn't give Kluber 250 mil for 10 years.

Mostly Bleier and Pivetta…

Seriously?

The guy is 23 years old with 240 career PA. A year ago, older players like Duran and Winckowski were labeled on this board as “not Major League material.” And yet now both have suddenly become major contributors…
