Arroyo: 316/417/733, 11 DRS, -1 OAA (2B/SS defense only)

Kiké: 311/400/711, 10 DRS, -11 OAA (2B/SS defense only)

 

I'm thinking about 2B only, with the Arroyo comp, but if Story comes back as a 2Bman only, that would change.

 

If Mondesi comes back (at SS), first, Kike is my guy at 2B over Arroyo by a landslide.

 

We may end up seeing a Kike-Duran CF platoon with Kike playing 2B vs RHPs, which would essentially be a Duran-Arroyo platoon.

 

What we do when Duvall returns could change that, unless we bench Casas (Turner to 1B/ Duvall to DH).

This comparación is more realistic. Seems like Arroyo has the edge, but aside stats I see in Arroyo a better bat and glove.

Regarding Casas's ongoing development, the current winning streak and overall good level of play should be taking a lot of pressure off Triston, and Cora/Bloom as to needing an immediate fix. Casas needs to show continuous, buy not spectacular , growth and this is a great time for him to breathe deep and find some success with the bat. He is not being relied upon to be a major contributor nightly.
