Even if you're an optimist, it's pretty obvious that if the Red Sox somehow rebound and become a competitive ballclub again, it won't be with a lot of the men defiling their laundry right now.

There's not many that even look like they want to be big leaguers right now.

It takes a lot more than 'wanting' to be a big leaguer.

It's disappointing that even casual Sox fans I have talked with lately have noticed this point. He can be such a better hitter with a better approach. There's just nobody that can pick him up in the batting order... but no coaches that can talk sense into the $330 million dollar man?

He only listens to Bogey and Ortiz.

Imagine the prospect that Bloom will have to give another team in July to convince them to pay even half of Sale's contract for one more season.

For that to happen the prospect would have to be Mayer.

Did not want you guys to think I had died or anything. Just as last year when things did not look so good I decided not to expose you guys to my normal level of pessimism about the ole town team.

So I guess I will just say, they can't pitch, they can't hit and they can't field. That about sums it up and leave it at that. If there is anything to suggest things changing I will post more often again.

Bradley in line for a win in his first game. Why do i think we'll be seeing a lot of him over the next few years.

Missed you, Jung. Our team is about like you say, even the optimists are wondering a bit.

Are you encouraging a FIRE SALE?

I am not but I would think the BLOOM is off the rose and it might be time to move on there.

I have posted here before that IMO, the Dif between what the Rays do and what teams like the Sox do even when they try to emulate the Rays is that the Rays have an entire organization geared to a method of Baseball Operations that suits them. Hence, they are top to bottom doing what it takes to acquire players, draft players, develop them etc. I always had my doubts about getting one guy, Bloom and trying to duplicate an entire organization functioning as to create what the Rays have.

We don't even look like we belong on the same field with them and a bunch of their key players are still ON THEIR FIRST CONTRACTS. ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHH

Oh there certainly is! They will pitch, hit, and field even worse than they are now.

When is the SOX golden arm Bello going to make his 1st start?

Bello did last year. 2-8, 4.71 ERA . Maybe it will be different this year.

This team should play at an empty Fenway when they go home. This ownership and system does not deserve one ticket sale. Boston supports it's Sox too strongly to deserve a double-a lineup.

Fans will still show up to the ball park no matter how s***** this team is.
