It seems to me that Bloom has a small , but very vociferous following. Almost cult like in their loyalty. They refuse to see what so many others see. They will blame anyone and anything else for the problems and failures. And they will get pretty angry with those who see things differently. I think they need to lighten up. Try the decaf. Skip the kool aid.

Who?

There's two types of people.

A.) Bloom haters

B.) People who dislike a lot of Blooms moves, like some of them, are generally unhappy with the team but because they're not clamoring for Bloom to burn at the stake they're like....in love with him or something.

Nobody's angry at anybody here. That's the making stuff up again.

At least be a neighbor, and have a Gansett.

It’s always to some if you criticize Bloom that means you are a hater. I have heard the hater word used so many times on here.

And if you defend Bloom you're a Bloom Jock Supporter, angry person etc.

lmao

Not only totally untrue, but also ignoring the other "side" is the same.

Name one poster who is cultishly loyal to Bloom.

Like I said earlier, don't confuse laughter with anger.

You just used it twice.

Not a single poster here even supports 75% of Bloom's moves.

I may be wrong, but I sense some posters only seem to talk about the bad moves Bloom makes, making it seem like they believe 90-95% of his moves and none moves have been bad. Which one is more "cultish?" (not my choice of words.)

It's not that you criticize Bloom, it's the fact that every little single thing the guy does is the end of the world to you. It's obsessive, it's unhealthy, and to be honest....it's kind of hilarious. This thread right here is a perfect example. After an entire offseason of not doing anything, he gets criticized for signing a player who projects to be a perennial lead-off hitter (something we desperately need). And your justification is "well he paid more than everyone else" ahh chhhuyeah...that's how free agency works. Duh...but now you need to see everyone's scouting report on it. Maybe we should get medicals too, Maybe a BIRTH CERTIFICATE, make sure he's not lying about his age.

It's not that you criticize Bloom, it's that your criticism is SO SO SO heavy it blinds you, and becomes obsessive and seemingly prevents you from any intelligible baseball debate. I can proof this point. There other posters in here who disagree with Blooms decisions ALL the time, and I converse just fine with them.

I’ll wear the Bloom Basher T-shirt, and you can wear the Bloom Jock Supporter T-shirt. Which T-shirt do you think sells the most?

I agree people are angry in here. And it’s the extreme Bloom haters.

Bells, and whistles go off the second any criticism of Bloom appears on here unless it happens to come from the supporters.

You usually come off like Bloom's press agent. At various times, you have blamed the Sox failures on ownership , the budget , the farm , Dombrowski , the players , the fans , talk radio and the media in general. If the shoe fits , you must admit.

Look at all the post on here of I know you are, but what am I? Both sides are guilty.I’ve never heard anything like this on any talk shows that get trashed on here like this forum isn’t just another form of a talk show. Edited by Old Red

Not just fans, but spoiled-crybaby fans.

I will leave that to your interpretation, lest I be accused of " attacking " another poster. Sometimes it is better to stick with generalities.

That's no fun! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I have blamed some people for what I felt they deserved to be blamed for. I've also been highly critical of many Bloom moves, and even caught crap for some. I hated the JBJ move. I hated the Diekman signing. I criticized the Richards, Perez and Marwin signings. I have said I expected more of the prospects he traded for to be showing more, by now.

I think Bloom was the right guy for the priorities set by his bosses. I think DD was a great choice for what those priorities were at the time.

You choose to selectively pick out the times I defend or offer context to the criticism Bloom gets from a few posters, nearly 100%. I can name 10+ times I was very critical of Bloom but how many Bloom bashers can name 10 good things they commented on? Who is the cult, here? Sometimes the shoe fits someone else.

When I say something like, "What should be expected from a GM who has a severely limited winter spending budget and 5 years of farm infusions that produced only Houck," I don't think I'm being anybody's agent or apologist. I'm just stating teh facts and the context around what is going on. You see that being a cult.

Now, watch your side pile on in approval. Does the shoe fit you and your cult, too? Be objective.

Well to be fair, the outcome of the Red Sox is a complex comprehensive issue that is affected by all those things. It's refreshing to talk with people who recognize that as opposed to be who have tunnel vision and complain about the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

That's what happens when people don't want to have an intellectual debate but just hate.

You know kind of like....who would you non kike 2022 outfield be? we could sit around and talk about that.......or you could disappear for a week and then come back and complain about Hunter Renfroe being traded for the 10 millionth time.
