Dalbec is as much use as a chocolate fireman

They have been more than patient with him, but there is way too much, in the words of the great Ernie Harwell, “stood there like the house at the side of the road” and it’s getting worse.

That HBP means nothing. How about a ground ball that hits a base to end it.

The Cubs are giving the Sox all kinds of chances by not bunting the runner over to third.

HBP may have helped the Sox in that regard; Wisdom doesn’t appear to be a bunter.

I’ve tried staying optimistic with Dalbec, but I’m not sure I can any longer.

HBP also prevented a wild pitch.

Oh don’t worry Bobby D will get hot in the 2nd half like last year, or so you’ve kept saying.

Like I said earlier this has been like watching a little league game all day, and if the Red Sox can’t hang on from here they deserve to lose.

Sawamura with a great inning. He’s been solid lately

What does that have to do with what I said lol

f*** Dalbec, what could he be possibly thinking or seeing. Goodbye, soon I hope

S t r e a k m a n!

Good one. Hadn't heard that one before, but I'll be using it.

Depends on if Cora has a brain cramp and uses Robles. I sink or swim with Diekman.

Great job by Diek.

What a 4 1/2 hour shi tshow that was.

Much needed win and way harder than it should have been, but a rookie starter and the infamous bullpen prevailed over 11 innings. The hitters not so much, but wait until tomorrow when the 14 day race for the East really begins.

After the A-S break, all remaining July games are at Fenway with Toronto, Cleveland and the Brewers. Then the August 2nd trade deadline will be on top of Chaim Bloom to get some value out of the 40 man roster, plugging a couple openings, including 1B and another BP arm.

The Sox have a very weak hitting outfield in terms of HRs.

The Sox have a total of 74HRs and the Yankees have a 133!

I would like to see them add an outfielder with pop.

Someone like Renfroe Lol

Did the commentators say anything about that spikes up slide into 2b that injured Bogey? Same exact thing Machado did to Pedroia.

Seabold has earned another chance to stay in the bigs, but he may be sent down to make room for a RP or an IL returnee.

He has and he might.

Did you see the slide that injured Bogey?
