Since 1946 this is a list of pitchers who have had 30 or more complete games:

1946-Bob Feller 36

1952-Robin Roberts 30

1953-Robin Roberts 33

1965-Juan Marichal 30

1971-Fergie Jenkins 30

1972-Steve Carlton 30

1975-Catfish Hunter 30

Btw, in 2016 Chris Sale led MLB with 6 and that's the most since 2016.

So far in 2022 there have been 10 complete games in MLB.

Going to the game tonight in Anaheim to watch Whitlock whip up a second shutout and extend Angel's misery.

If any of you fellows want to send a personal message to your favorite Red Sox, post it here during the day and I'll deliver it. I'm only sorry Matt B. won't be in the bullpen so I can tell him what is going wrong with his delivery. Dodger manager Dave Roberts spelled it out in a local story .

Hey, Vegas, enjoy the game tonight. If you communicate with Devers, please ask him if he'll take a hometown discount on his next contract?

I have asked the travelling secretary for 15 minutes with Raffy at the urging of the Splendid Splinter . He told me he would get back after he checked with Boss Boras

Fuhgettaboutit. Btw, Vegas, bring a sign that says in big letters "I LOVE MATT BARNES" so I can see where you're sitting during the game.

Good for you, and have a great time!

And don't forget to boo loudly every time Whitlock has a good inning: Old Red wants him closing, not starting.

Too bad Phil Nevin is in the dugout tonight instead of on 3rd base. Now we won't be able to throw anybody out at home

Genius Joe Maddon goes down with the s(t)inking ship known as the Angels. Too bad he didn't hit or pitch better .

He's smart, but he also manages nasty. I thought he was a genius at Tampa, but it turns out it's their system that wins games. He did get that WS for the Cubs, a big deal, but then they let him go. And I'll be surprised if the stays with the Angels.

Not surprising. Called it yesterday.

Yankees might win 100 plus game this year. I am waiting for them to have a stretch where they lose some games and it hasn’t happened.

They are stacked with talent and everyone is healthy.

Why would it be so bad if the Yankees win 100 games, or even the World Series? Enjoy good baseball when you see it. Get over your decades old rivalry. My generation doesn't give a s*** about rivalries. We like players more than we like teams, and Judge is my favorite player on the planet

I thought you were an A.J Pollock fan.

The health thing won't last. Half the team has hamstrings made of thin glass crystal.

I guess my generation likes teams more than individual players. When a player from my team leaves, for example Betts, I couldn't care less about him. I personally would never 'like' a player on the Yankems, but, at the same time, I can respect that player, for example, Jeter.

Btw, my favorite player on the planet right now is Devers, but what the hell, I'm a SOX fan.

I predict that Maddon will either be offered a managerial position before this season ends, or during the off season. Like someone here mentioned, it's called recycling. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

Shite, I don't care how many games the Yankems win. The SOX are chasing a PO spot, which is more realistic than chasing the Yankems. Btw, in 2001 Seattle won 116 games during the regular season and didn't win the WS. OTOH, in 2006 Atlanta won 83 games in the regular season and went on to win it all.

That s/b St Louis, not Atlanta.

Baseball is a situational game. I tired of these chUMPs. That HR comes off after a count that should have been 1-1, instead it was a 2-0 against arguably the best hitter in the game. This chUMP made Whitelock reduce his pitching zone. The rest is history.
