GIDP on a play the Sox don't make. After 2 innings, Rasmussen 24 pitches and Eovaldi 39, but of course Nate is a lot stronger.

Even better. Eovaldi is sheer perfection today. Just a tiny glitch in the 1st.

JDM gets another hit! He needs to trip over 2d base about every 10 games next year.

Okay, 2 innings over. You may resume normal commentary (i.e. your normal stuff, both positive and negative).

Did Plawecki stop for water on the way to first?

Nope. He tripped over homeplate and sprained his ankle. I'm surprised he's out there for the 3d inning.

Sox can't have both Swcharber and JD next year. The defense takes too much of a hit

Really? Ask yourself this. Why, when the Sox played their last three games in a NL park, did Cora play Schwarber and JDM in all three games.

Schwarber also caught a bad pickoff throw by Eovaldi.

First base is one of those positions where hitting comes ahead of fielding.

And this. Let's replay this game right here and put the great Bobby Dalbec at 1b and assume he makes a good throw on that play. But also subtract Schwarber's dinger and make the score 2-0 Rays.

Schwaber shouldn’t have been on the team in the 1st place if they would have signed Rizzo, which they should have since they needed a 1B at the time, and Schwaber was just after thought, and a hurt one at that who couldn’t play for two weeks.

Schwarber looks like an amateur at 1B.

Yeah. What a lunch bucket. Of course, we also need to ignore he is 2 for 2 and caught that bad pickoff throw by Eovaldi.

The Yankees got Rizzo and have better pitching than the Sox. Guess which team won the Wild Card game?

No, we don’t. Your post doesn’t make any sense.

I know people always debate if “clutch” is a real thing. Call it what you want, but certain guys seem to always come through in big games and big moments. Kike Hernandez and Kyle Schwarber are two guys who definitely do

I have no idea what the future holds for Schwarber, but it would be to his advantage to practice playing 1st base during the off season. If the SOX re-signed him with this in mind, I'd rather have Schwarber playing 1st than Bobby Dee.
