O's beating the Jays 10-5 after 4 in the 1st 7 inning game of a double-header. Does any team in the AL East have any interest in making the WC?

The O's are hitting like no other team, now.

There are like 7 HRs (both teams) in 4 innings.

Go SOX!

This is the best line-up the SOX have had in weeks. It would be to their advantage to put up a few crooked numbers tonight.

The Jays just keep pecking away and just attack lousy pitching. Probably the best offensive team in MLB.

The Astros have a great offense, too.

TOR

1.011 Vlad (42 HR/64 XBH)

.910 Springer (16/31 in half a season)

.892 Semien (38/72)

.850 T Hern (25/49)

.844 Kirk (155 PAs)

.798 Bichette (22/47 and 22 SB)

.770 Gurriel (16/43)

.717 Grichuk (22/45)

HOU looks deeper

.891 Tucker (24/58)

.872 Alvarez (28/57)

.861 Correa (22/54)

.849 Gurriel (14/42)

.835 Altuve (27/54)

.831 Bregman (half season)

.816 Meyers (101 PAs)

.762 A Dia (half season)

.759 McCormick (half season)

Sox

.956 Schwarber (.922 with 29 HR & 44 XBH overall)

.886 Devers (33/78)

.871 Bogey (20/53)

.866 JD M (25/65)

.833 Renfroe (27/56)

.793 Dalbec (21/44)

.792 Verdugo (12/43)

.792 Kike (17/50)

.777 Arroyo (175 PAs)

Notice how Dalbec has passed Kike and Verdugo in OPS and may close in on Renfroe.

One of the absolutely worst at bats I've ever seen Devers have. He looked completely lost, and Cease didn't even throw a changeup.

Devers seems to think chewing that tobacco is good for his game, and he is dead wrong.

Two fastballs back to back and right down the middle, and Renfroe could only close his eyes, swing the bat, and hope he hit something.

I've seen Devers swing and miss at pitches that actually hit him. He is what he is.

Seabold gets an out on a hard hit ball and decides he ain't throwing any more strikes. If he can just keep walking guys, eventually Cora will pull him and he can go home to Worcester where it's safer.

I sure would like Seabold to do well today and going forward but that is not a pitching motion likely to have great success

True. When he is good, he is very, very good.

Springer with a 2 out 2 run dinger to give the Jays the lead.

O's get one more shot.

10-7 lead with a closer and couldn't hold the lead.......

2 straight back to back 80mph change ups? Is that Vaz or some other idiot calling pitches? Seabold , another product of Red Sox University of Pitching

Isn't there any God damn COVID discipline on this baseball team. When do we start to look at Management and the players and ask, "what the f*** are you doing"
Posted
Seabold needs to have a shutdown inning in the bottom half to prevent blowing up a 7 - 2 lead, like happened a week or so ago
