Pivetta vs Ober

Ober is better than Jax, last night's starter. 2.81 ERA over his last 5 starts, 24K and 4BB. Twins best shot at not getting swept.

And Pivetta is like the opening lines of A Tale of Two Cities: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times . . . it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair."

I want to see Arroyo in the lineup but I guess Travis is hot right now.

Me, too, and Kike in CF, JD at DH and Schwarber at 1B.

Can we try it just once before some else gets hurt?

...or Shwarber at LF and Arroyo at 1B. You would move Verdugo at CF and Kike at 2B.

Both, Arroyo and Schwarber could get hurt playing at 1B, but who would you risk more of these two?

my guess Schwarber has more chances to get hurt at 1B.

Taylor to close tonight then. Let’s win.

Did they name him as a the new closer moving forward?

Why are people penciling Pivetta in for a rotation spot in 2022?

He does what a 5th guy does. Inconsistent. He was very good against the Jays and Orioles but sucked last start and so far not great today. However I would bring him back as our 5th guy.

Exactly. Too many people seem to think the #5 guy is going to win 75% of his starts and pitch to a sub 3 ERA. A team will do well if their #5 goes around .500 with an ERA in the mid to upper 4s.

As I’ve said, any pitcher in the majors CAN shut down any other team. It’s how often they can do it. A #5 isn’t going to do it very often, but they will do it once in a while.

Privetta is what he is, a 4-5 starter.
