The Sox are hard to watch. Lead off walk with the meat of the order coming up. The only way we get a runner in scoring position is a wild pitch. This is the same team that destroyed the Orioles. The yankee pitching is not that good tonight. I think the Sox swing at more ball fours than at any time in the past.

 

The plate discipline of the SOX is one of the worst in MLB.

He’s not throwing a lot of meatballs tonight but the Sox approach again is awful; most look like they are trying to hit 5 run homers.

I think JDM does have plate discipline. But what we saw in his last at bat is that he can't see the pitches being thrown to him.

In looking at Heaney’s game log this year, it looks like he’s either been pretty good or absolutely horrible. Not a lot of 3 runs in 6 innings type games this year.
