This Orioles roster is seriously one of worst I’ve ever seen. Mullins and Mancini are the only players worth mentioning

Have you looked at the Cubs roster lately?

I can't watch the game, but it's obvious Sale is throwing slower than before TJ surgery and doesn't have the same command as before.

That said, pretty good work after a 2 year lay-off: 2 runs in 5 innings, 8 K's, no walks, 89 pitches.

IMHO, both Mancini and Mullins are undervalued. Perhaps Means, also.

Last night's 3 innings by Richards--of all people--netted him a save. Who woulda thunk?

I honestly don't believe that good teams routinely beat lousy teams, but this Orioles team seems special.

Gotta love 8 Ks and 0 BBs in 5 IP.

60 Strikes- 29 Balls

Welcome back...

Chris Freakin' Sale!

Mancini's value is diminished by his one year of control.

I still aree.

He legit looked better today than most our starters. First start in the majors since TJ surgery with 8 strike outs. He was dealing! And he had a few 95 mpn fast balls. It was a great day for him.

Btw, Mountcastle must be injured or Covid watch. Anyone know why he hasn't been in the O's line-up these two games?

Just checked; Mountcastle is recovering from concussion symptoms he received on 8/6 due to a hard tag to the head.

From playing the O's and then facing the Yankems; from facing the worst pitching in MLB and then facing some of the best pitching. This will have to require a big adjustment by the SOX. Like going from batting practice to real game pitching.

Great to see the bottom of the order produce. Triple and HR.

That is nice, especially seeing Bobby Dee's dinger.

How about the top, though?

Kike 2-2, 2B, BB, HBP, 4 runs

Verdugo 4-4, 3 runs, 1 RI

Bogey 3-3, HBP, 2 runs, 2 RBI

Devers 2-3, HR, BB, 1 run, 4 RBI

JD 2-4, HR, 2B, 1 run, 3 RBI

That's 13 for 16! 2 BB + 2 HBP, so on base 17 out of 20 PAs!

13 RBI

11 runs

The top 3 went 9 for 9 and on base 12 for 12!

Good way to break Sale back into the fold.

No command? I think you're wrong (he hasn't gotten the call on some really close pitches).

Not too hard to legit look better than all our starters, depending on the game.
